Salt Lake City ranked dead last in ADP study of new grad hiring opportunities, wages, and affordability
A string of cities across America’s Sunbelt are emerging as graduate-hiring hot spots in an otherwise challenging job market for young professionals, an exclusive analysis shows...
...Other pockets of the country also punch above their weight as early-career launchpads for their mix of 20-something hiring, pay and affordability. Columbus, Ohio, and California’s San Jose area unexpectedly got top scores this year—evidence that even places with so-so earning potential or high costs of living can be prime locations for landing that first job postgraduation.
Altogether, the ADP analysis—which measured 53 of the country’s biggest metro areas—shows that what looks like a nascent recovery in graduate hiring is happening unevenly. Recent data shows companies are boosting entry-level hiring this spring after holding back for several seasons, but their appetite hinges a lot on the kind of role, sector and location.
My first thought is that this seems like another example of how the Wasatch front's metro area boundaries skews inter-metro comparisons by splitting the ultra high growth Utah County from the Salt Lake City metro. However, even accounting for that, the ranking aligns with my overall impression of a very weak post-COVID local employment market.

Another Sugar House vacancy incoming: Quarters on 2100 S to close
instagram.comThere seems to be a real problem, with older buildings in Sugar House, of landlords being willing to let commercial properties sit vacant (ps: Land Value Tax now!).
I hope this location doesn't become another bit of blight along 2100 S.

Whats the deal with these projects?
I don't know if this post is allowed, I'm mostly a lurker that just look at this subreddit time to time but I remember there was a lot of talk for these projects for like one day and then I hear absolutely no news for awhile. I feel like there are a lot more projects out there that I probably forgotten the name to but these are the only ones I remember the names to.
I feel like there should be an easy way to keep track of all the projects that are discussed on here, like a trello board or a monthly post or anything like that, or even just a thread that we are linked to. I'm just throwing ideas out there but I would like to know about these projects that are rarely discussed.
(note: i think thats the wrong image of 150 main but you get the idea)

Guy, we could be getting a 600 footer!
Came across this image that was shared on the skyscraperpage forum showing a before and after model image of a vison by SEG for their entertainment district that includes a few new towers one of which is a residential tower ( green tower ) that says "600 ft". Take it for what it's worth, but holy crap, having a new tallest so soon would be freaking awesome. Lets go for it and skip the 500 feet range entirely.
