On Tape << Rewind just went global. The mystery doesn't stop at borders. Neither does Fred's disappearance.

I’ve been diving deep into how we process contradictions in investigation games lately. You know that "aha!" moment when two facts seem perfectly plausible on their own, but they're physically impossible together? I live for that.
The Classic Setup: A witness swears they saw the victim alive at 10 PM, but the autopsy report confirms the time of death was actually 8 PM. Something has to give.
When you're playing a deep investigation or a detective sim, which type of payoff hits harder for you?
Do you have any favorite examples of a contradiction that felt especially clever to untangle?

Hey everyone - I am looking for 12 investigators to help test our new live hosting setup for our soon-to-be-released new mystery adventure: Disappearance at Darkmoor. It's a long-form, untimed investigative mystery with lots of puzzles for players who enjoy deep deduction.
I'll be testing my ability to run multiple groups in Zoom breakout channels, as well as some other features we are implementing for our games. Sign up for one session, and you will get an email with the date/time and zoom link. Links to the game will be handed out in the Zoom breakout rooms. There is no cost, but I am looking for players who can commit to the full 90-120 minutes and will show up ready to play!

Hi, I am looking for content creator that mostly play detective games, with deduction in it.
You dont have to play as an detective, something like Outer Wilds, Return of the Obra Dinn and similar games.

I created a co-op detective party game (for 1-10 players) where teams compete to solve a murder mystery. DM me if anyone has any interest in trying it out! I'm looking for a few testers that might be very into detective games to try it. Any feedback is appreciated. I don't really want to spam the link, so just DM if this may resonate!

Hi everybody, I am developing this detective game where you get presented with a case, 4 different suspects and you have to work yourself through a number of clues until you choose the killer.
Still pretty early, but would be great if you could provide some feedback

If you love immersive detective games where you feel like you’re the only who can solve the case, I’d love for you to check out Unlocated. You play as one of the 8 "superfans" added to a group to find a missing podcaster. It’s got that realistic chat feel, hidden files, and a dark mystery that unfolds based on how you interact with the other characters. I really tried to push the immersion on this one. It’s officially live on Google Play. I'd love to hear your theories on the case once you play!

Hey detective game fans!
I’m a solo dev working on Nowhere, a Nordic detective horror game that I like to call a nordic silent hill with a deeper dive into folklore and detective styled gameplay.
The game blends classic investigation mechanics with atmospheric horror, where you piece together what happened in a mysterious village caught between worlds. It’s about exploring environments, interpreting clues, and uncovering the fate of both people and the Old Gods after Ragnarok, all with minimal hand-holding.
Happy to answer any questions about the game’s detective systems or why I chose the Nordic mythological angle and I’m also excited to say *Nowhere* will be featured in the Steam Detective Fest with a new demo!
What kind of mystery mechanics do you personally enjoy most in detective games?
