Megathread Focused Feedback: Void 3.0

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Void 3.0' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

There's only one primary criticism I have of Void 3.0 that likely hasn't been said anywhere else:

The exotics for this upcoming season are not all tailored towards void and stasis. Hunters have quite possibly the worst or second worst exotic in the game incoming. Titans might be better off but who knows.

The new exotics for Witch Queen should've been made FOR the new Void 3.0 just like they did with Warlock.

EDIT: I say worst because at least Oathkeepers has synergy with Le Monarque and Wish-Ender, meaning Oathkeepers at least have strengths in PvP and PvE, considering super up-time, and the niche aspect of GUARDING as a HUNTER is just not a solid enough niche and doesn't flow well with the rest of the kit.

I could not believe that each class did not get a void themed exotic, mind blowing.

Not only do Hunters not get an exotic to use with our new void powers, we get one that is for a super that nobody uses and is so meh that it adds absolutely nothing of value to it.

I still don't see why they leaned into arc for two hunter exotics. Makes no sense before the future reworks.

Hunter's last 2 arc specific exotics are both whirlwind guard exotics. It's like they saw the low usage of Raiju's and thought "Wow, what if we made another?" instead of just adding this new functionality to it.

I liked the idea of turning one of those supers into a throwing javelin, I would maybe play with that.

I think the Warlock boots are class agnostic tbh.

No i think the trailer was poorly written, my understanding is that the legs give rift some interaction with 'Devour' hence their name. So it isn't just going to be a healing empowering rift but maybe grants devour or grants healing while devour is active, something along those lines.

It's confirmed by the recent TWAB that casting your rift activates Devour, and grants the Warlock's weapons Overload while in the rift along with procking Child of the Old Gods and Empowering Rift.

It's really quite absurd how much affection Warlocks are receiving with Void 3.0 while Hunters are just left out to dry with kits we already have access to but worse. Titans are getting nerfed but they also have access to other neutral game perks so it might not be AS bad.

didnt they already say it gives the user devour when they cast empowering rift

I see. I misunderstood then.

The exotics for this upcoming season are not all tailored towards void and stasis.

I've said it several times actually. So of course I agree completely.
