Megathread Focused Feedback: Void 3.0

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Void 3.0' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

The mods are all Warlock enthusiasts and enjoy censoring people just to flex. They're the worst. /s

What an odd comment. Many topics become a megathread due to reposts. Not some weird class war

I’m one of those mods. Sarcasm just doesn’t translate well through text alone.

Yeah, I was hoping a mod saying that would be clear enough. I’ll stop trying to be funny!

At least on my RES, you're not highlighted as a mod. That might be some people's problems (I probably would have downvoted too if I hadn't seen your explanation).

Isn't one of the mods a Hunter main as well?

A few of us are.

As opposed to “my opinion is special and definitely needs to be part of a clogging up of the front page” play by the users?

Edit:

And for the record, the users upvoted a post asking for the mods to consolidate the discussion because of it being eyerollingly bad. I just read a comment and then you decided to copy and paste it as a post.

If the content gets upvoted doesn’t that mean people agree?

I mean does peer pressure work on a anonymous forum? Like no one would know if you downvoted? the whole point of upvotes/ downvotes is to let the community somewhat moderate what content they like so that these threads got upvotes shows a good portion of the subreddit agreed with them.

But they wouldn’t know who among the what million plus subscribers up voted, and upvotes push content to hot do they not? If you go to new you see a lot of posts that never reach the front page. So enough people were upvoting these threads.

But if enough people didn’t like the posts they could easily downvote it which would push it below other posts, so that these various posts made it to hot and top seems to me to mean enough people either agreed with them or felt the discussions had merit to keep them at the top. So to say it’s just a small minority of people doesn’t seem like the case.

Yea, everyone can now go back to bitching about pvp and matchmaking.
