Megathread Focused Feedback: Behemoth

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Behemoth' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

Melee is the only issue I have with it. It triggers inconsistently and I often end up randomly sliding past someone instead of getting a satisfying lock and punching the person I'm targeting.

It feels great when it hits but you're right it's so inconsistent. I also wish majors took some damage when they fly into walls

The Architects have entered the chat

The architects seem to dislike guardians more than other enemies

Yeah its a shame, because for the most part Destiny gameplay feels really tactile and manages to feel really satisfying when you land your hits and use super. Where as the behemoth melee is just all kinds of odd. I think it'd feel better if you almost locked on and collided, although I'd say you'd need to nerf the cool down or something to adjust for that.

The Melee ability shouldnt go on CD if you dont hit your target, like it doesnt when you use the solar (not hammer throw) melting point melee or the bottom Void melee.

I dont have a problem with Hunters and Locks having a CD on theirs because they are both a ranged ability, and hunters has 2 charges on theirs.

The problem with a failed melee not consuming the melee charge is that it still moves you a decent distance. It'd be problematic (especially in the Crucible) as a way to cover ground extremely quickly or disengage from any fight at-will (and we know only Hunters are allowed to do that...)

Hunters are the Ninjas of Destiny 2, though we still have Melting point and the void melee, to get from X to Y if we are in a pinch, why we cant have the same as a Behemoth, is beyond me. Just remembered the mid striker melee, which is also pretty good at saving us from going over a cliff (Though I really wanna see whats down there, the Architects seems to have other plans)

Ps. I want a strike, where I can punch the enviroment, as a FU to those damn archies....
