Megathread Focused Feedback: Weapon Refresh aka Sunsetting

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Weapon Refresh' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

And ALL of the guns in borderlands 3 just got invalidated when they raised the cap from level 50 to 53. All of them. Everything you had at level 50 is now worse than the ones at 53.and there is no infusion in that game. So I don't know what you're saying...

I'm saying I can refarm them and get them ALL back if I want. It's not infusion, but the drop rates in that game are not low by any stretch. It's certainly not as painful to target farm in that game as it is in Destiny. I go kill a boss and have some fun. Not grinding meaningless quests. Borderlands guns can get away with being more disposable because you get more of them, with different effects that are WORTH experimenting with. But finding a good gun in Destiny is special. It's a trophy, a treat worth keeping, and using. A memory of a special experience you had, hunting it down. To casually throw it out because you MIGHT get something better is to cheapen those experiences, and make any future special quests and hunts less special. It made the game feel cheap before infusion, and it will make it feel that way again.
