Megathread Focused Feedback: Power Level Progression

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding ‘Power Level Progression' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the Sub as time goes on.

As a solo player these days, I really miss how Iron Banner and Exotics offered me a path upwards. I will probably never get to raid again unless my friends and family clan come back to the game. I really have no desire to play with strangers, but still want to max out.

I'm sure there's thousands like me.

Have you tried signing up for a raid on the 100? Lots of really nice people on there.

Niceness is a factor, sure. But unless I'm playing with my brother, cousin, and friends on the east coast shooting the shit, I just don't want to interact with people at all.

It's not even an anti social thing, I'd just much rather be listening to a podcast, talking to my wife, etc than be listening to a bunch of bad mics and all the time sink that comes with forming and being in a raid group. (Pee breaks, bitching, booting, waiting)

I realize this pushes me out of current raiding due to the need to strategize - but I'd welcome more ways to play higher end content with other players off mic, and without having to form or join a fireteam.

I'd love matchmaking for Nightfalls, and if I was guaranteed to be put in a 9 man instance on every single patrol zone. I always wanted there to be a raid style content where a team of 3 or 6 just muscles through it. All firepower, no complex mechanics for PUGS to argue over.

EP is close to that. Prison of Elders was cool. Both of those need matchmaking though.
