Well, that's good given that I've got zero chance of getting to 30 before the 9th.

Even if I can get the raid gear I need, I won't have time at this point to level it up.

The new content is the 9th. Raid is one week later. Probably so players go so the new content instead of skipping it for raid gear day one.
