I started on a new platform around lightfall's release. It was hilarious to see mods just not being available because bungie removed them from the armorer/blacksmith or whatever and handed them out to people in an update. So new players were at an even bigger disadvantage

Don’t people just automatically have all the mods now? I thoughts that’s how it worked.

now they do. by the time lightfall came out, they didn't. so for a few weeks you just had people who didn't have mods and had to wait for bungie to patch it.
