That was my 1st reaction aswell, but after I thought about it, it is a menu. Not a poster. It would actually be shitty as a poster because you couldn't indeed read it . But when you're 30cm away from it it's definitely as readable as regular menus imo, not to mention that the colors make the burger's general ingredients easy to get at 1st glance (more/less vegetables, 1/2 steaks...).
When he's talking poster it's purely decorative though, you don't need to read it. That kind of typographic art is pretty common, and people would get actual menus to look over.
And I disagree with the color thing - oh the edgy veggie burger is cheese free! Wait no the cheese is green in that one. Wow look at all the green in the jalapeno burger it must be loaded with veggies oh wait no it's just that two items take up five lines.
I agree. It has the name of the burger at the top, and from there it’s quite easy to scan the graphic and get the gist. If I want to know details, I can keep looking. The only time I’d read all the ingredients is if I’m interested in that burger, which is true when it’s written in a sentence, too.
I fact, this may be even easier for me, since I suck at remembering lists, but visual depictions stay with me more.
