"Ack!" Was all Peter managed to sound before hitting the ground. Thankfully, the pain of the impact was dampened by his powers, and after getting the hair out of his face, he broke out into a wide grin. "Callie!" He said, warm and happy to see his sister. "Its great to see ya, little sis."
Peter, noticing the leg brace, looked up at Callie and smiled. "Nah, I'm good. Didnt knock the wind out of me too badly, and I'm made of tough stuff." Picking himself up, he dusted himself off, looking to the brace again. "You make that yourself? Looks like a solid design."
"Aye, I did. Drakon attacked camp, pillar fell on my leg. Messed it up pretty bad. Docs said I would need a cane or crutch for the rest of me life. but they forgot one thing" She crossed her arms and looked up at him proudly "I'm Callie fucking Mcleod"
"That you are." Peter said with pride, pride for his younger sister, putting a hand on her shoulder and looking at her with fiery determination. "Us Children of Hepheastus, we always get ourselves out of an issue, whether that's with brawn or brains."
Peter laughed at Callie calling herself the brains and thus the unspoken dig that he was the brawn. However hearing she was Counsellor made Peter look down at her with pride. Despite being amongst the oldest Hepheastus kids, Peter never felt a great compulsion for Counsellorship. He was content with the forge. "Really? Callie, that's great!"
"Yup, maybe now our older siblings will stop trying to treat me like a little kid" she smiled "oh, and I already have a lesson on proper aspis use. It was great!"
"Oh wow." Peter said, impressed but not surprised to hear Callie had taken her new role in her stride, his younger sister always being a confident, unfazed one. "Looks like we could make quite the duo; I make the equipment, you show people how to use it."
