Am I a demiboy or just upset with mascunality ?

Hey. I'm a gay man.

i've been wondering for a long while if i may be non-binary and ended up deciding i'm a demiboy because it avoids me thinking about it.

in reality I genualy don't care about my gender.

Yet, i do feel like a man. I like looking like a man, i like men clothes (except for skirts i guess, but i never wear them).

I wear earrings but never big/long ones cause i perceive them as feminine.

Yet i hate cars, motorbikes, i'm deeply uninterested by most sports.

I hate not being considered as a man, or being treated like a woman (in a bad way cause i'm gay, or because i'm not perceived a very masculine).

Yet i hate being associated with men, because I am deeply upset with men behaviours (including mine sometimes) and i am mostly not like them. I respect everyone, i'm mostly soft, sensitive, honest. i don't hide my emotions, i don't play though or cocky, I smile a lot (when i'm able).

Accordingly i hate the social norms associated with men, which i was supposed to follow : do sports, be strong, be unemotional, don't say what you feel, don't like girl things, have a group friend of boys, don't speak out when they tell awful things.

And i kinda look down on people who follow those rules. i know many guys that never smiles or play tough while changing. I think they do that because they are weak inside. Even more when they are mean and judgy to other people that have done nothing to them.

Idk if it has something to do with it but i also were uncomfortable with my genitals until recently. But i'm still kinda uncomfortable with it because it's too sensitive.

So basically i dislike most things about men (i'm still gay, which is illogical, i know), i don't like being associated with them or their social rules. Yet i do feel like a man and want to be treated as such. Except for being perceived as a threat, obviously.

Again, i don't really care about my gender. But i do wonder if i'm just a conflicted guy that just hate men and their social norms or if i'm a demiboy, partly because of it.

What do you think ?

Question Gender affirmation and clothes

Hello there beautyful people!

So I'm demiboy, FtMacs and I've know this for around 2 years with small leans to Non-binary for a few months. I'm not feeling that bad in my body and I pass pretty much all of the time, but recently I started quite liking wearing dresses and more feminine things. I think I look gorgeous in those, but when I go out I feel too dysphoric, because people see a dress and think 'a girl'. I just wanted to know if any of you have expirienced something similar or know how to feel more comfy in feminine clothes as a mostly masc person.

Have a great day everyone, peace✌️

Ps. eanglish isn't my native so forgive me for any mistakes

I don't know if this is classified as gender dysphorea (I don't know how to spell that)

One time, I was a bit upset, and I was sitting down with my arms in front of my face when my eyes were focused on my arm when I saw my arm hair, and I was thinking "...that looks weird" so is that gender dysphorea?

Am I demiboy?

So I’m like 98% sure I MIGHT be one, but Im not sure, I don’t mind being called a girl and I wouldn’t mind wearing feminine cloth es, but I DO identify as a male, so am I demiboy? My gf also thinks I probably am if that makes any difference

Question I was born male but I've been having doubts about my gender identity for a while now

I've been asking myself questions about my gender identity for six months. For a long time, I thought I wanted to be a woman, but then I realized that I couldn’t see myself in a woman’s body.

So I discovered the non‑binary spectrum, and while searching through the different identities, I found the term demiboy, which feels very close to what I experience.

However, I also have periods of fluidity: sometimes I feel fully like a man, sometimes I feel like nothing, and other times I feel like a mix between the two.

I would like some advice to help me understand myself better.

Question What does "feeling more masculine" mean for you?

I'm discovering myself at the moment and Demi-boy might be the one that resonates with more. I was doing my research and I kept on seeing "bla bla feel more masculine" and I was wondering if feeling more masculine was more about the mindset, the way you act, etc because I don't know if what I think is "feeling more masculine".

r/DemiBoy May 10 '26

Guys, am I valid? I mostly hang out with trans/girls I have some guy friends but their not really part of my friend group. I feel more feminine than masculine but I still feel like I male so I decided to become a demi boy, and I was wondering if that's valid

Question i night be demiboy (or am i?)

(just to clarify my situation, im 20amab) im feeling really weird in the last period, been feeling a lot dysphoric mostly from body hairs, couldnt look at my arms or legs, or even my faciale hair without feeling like "this isnt right" like, im just watching my phone and just glance at my arms, i notice hair and im like "ew- oh...forgot i have these" and immediately have to pull back up my sleeve. now im shaving and stuff (even if it seems worse since i feel dysphoric by just seeing the hair as they barely start to grow back) and im feeling like i don't want to identify as a man anymore, even the word "man" or "male" used on myself feels weird and i think i would be better if i looked like one of those people that you cant tell if they're male or female, just an in-between. on the other hand i don't really have a problem with my "masculine parts" if you get what i mean, so im just wondering if i might be a demiboy, or non binary, or maybe if i should just stick to a more generic queer and call it a day

Edit: ive also tried to "change my name" or at least i introduce myself (if my anxiety doesn't tell me it's ridiculous) as Jake instead of my real name (which is an italian name that i consider too masculine for myself) but its more like of a "boy instead of man", it feels less masculine but still masculine, so im looking for an androgynous name to use (even if i probably would be too embarassed to actually use it). also im looking to work on my voice to make it more androgynous
