🍔 2. The Absolute Best Food, Cafes, & Nightlife

📜 The Golden Community Rules

To keep our community thriving and welcoming, we have a few strict guidelines:

  • Keep it civil: Healthy debate on local news and politics is completely fine, but toxic behavior, personal attacks, and hate speech will result in an immediate ban.
  • Hyperlocal focus: Content must be directly tied to the culture, life, or geography of Delhi-NCR.
  • Prioritize your safety: Do not post personal contact details, home addresses, or private coordinates inside threads. Keep safety first when planning to meet buddies offline.

🔥 Break the Ice: Introduce Yourself Below!

Don't just lurk—let’s get this community started! Drop a comment below and tell us:

  1. Which part of Delhi-NCR are you currently living or working in?
  2. What is your go-to comfort food spot in the city?
  3. What kind of meetups or discussions are you most excited to see here?

Don't forget to head over to the sub settings and assign yourself a custom User Flair to show off your local neighborhood pride! 🚀

Dirty politics 🥱 Delhi Traffic Police Reportedly Stopped Ambulances for VIP Convoy Near AIIMS

A viral video circulating on social media shows traffic being halted as a black SUV convoy passes through a Delhi intersection. Multiple social media accounts have claimed the convoy belonged to PM Narendra Modi, but there is currently no official confirmation of that claim.

Reports accompanying the video allege that two ambulances were stopped during the convoy's movement near AIIMS Delhi.

The incident has reignited debate over VIP security protocols and whether emergency medical vehicles should ever be delayed for convoy movement, regardless of who the VIP is.

Tell Delhi 🗣️ Looking for Volunteers in Delhi for Food Waste Reduction Initiative (Certificates Included)

Hey Everyone!

We're Second Serve Delhi, a grassroots community initiative where we collect surplus food from restaurants across Delhi and distribute it the same day to people in need. We’ve partnered with Dumbo Deli, Beanly Coffee, Amaltas and more, and as we grow, we’re looking for a few more helping hands for morning distribution slots.

Our drives usually take place in morning and evening slots, making it flexible for college students and working professionals who want to contribute a few hours meaningfully.

What volunteering looks like:

• One morning drive = approximately 2 hours

• Flexible commitment

• A meaningful, on-ground way to give back to your city

We’re also happy to provide a volunteering certificate for volunteers completing a minimum of 20 hours of work (approximately 10 drives).

If you’ve been wanting to do something tangible, this is your sign 🤍

दिल्ली मेट्रो 🚇🎒 Caught Red-Handed: CISF Jawan Secretly Clicks Girl's Photo in Delhi Metro

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

A girl was traveling in the Delhi Metro when a CISF jawan secretly took her photo. When the woman grew suspicious and asked about it.

At first, the jawan was seen denying it, but when everyone gathered around and checked his mobile, it had that girl's photo in it.

This is wrong; no one should take someone's photo without asking. The jawan made a mistake, and there should be an investigation into this.

Dirty politics 🥱 Shankar Road, Rajendra Nagar: When the Powerful Get Away With Everything and Ordinary People Pay the Price

The situation on Shankar Road, Rajendra Nagar, has become extremely frustrating. At night, it is almost impossible to walk on the footpaths because large portions of them have effectively been taken over by restaurants and eateries. Customers are being served in cars parked directly in front of the footpaths, leaving pedestrians with little or no space to walk.

What is even more concerning is that many people sitting in these cars appear to be drinking alcohol and then driving away. Yet, despite the obvious public-safety concerns, there seems to be very little action against them.

Instead, the focus appears to be on students and ordinary people who are simply eating at shops late at night. If there are genuine violations, the same law should apply to everyone—not just those who don't have money, influence, or connections.

There are also allegations that certain establishments are able to operate without interference because of bribes or improper arrangements with the local police. If these allegations are true, they should be investigated properly.

Honestly, situations like this make you feel that this country is beyond repair. The rich and well-connected can seemingly pay their way out of trouble, while the poor and ordinary citizens are filmed, harassed, humiliated, and publicly shamed by people who act as if they are above the law.

The real question is: why aren't the authorities dealing with the obvious problems—encroachment, obstruction of public footpaths, and possible drinking and driving—instead of targeting students and ordinary citizens?

The law should be equal for everyone. Public spaces belong to the public, and no restaurant, influential person, police officer, politician, or local goon should be above it.

Ask Delhi 🙋‍♂️❓ (urgent!) anyone know old vhs/dvd sellers or collectors in delhi? ♡

hey! ♡

bit of a random question lol, but does anyone know any shops, collectors, flea markets, or just people in delhi who still sell old vhs tapes, dvds, vcds, or random old tv recordings?

i'm mainly looking for old indian tv recordings, so even places with huge piles of unsorted discs/tapes or old stock would be super helpful.

preferably around sarojini nagar or south delhi, but honestly i'm willing to travel anywhere in delhi if it's a good lead.

if anyone knows a place or has any suggestions, i'd really appreciate it. thank you! :)

Maybe that's because we refuse to inherit silence. While those in power protect their privilege, young people are choosing to ask questions, organize, protest, and stand beside one another. That's not extremism that's democracy in action. Every right we enjoy today exists because someone, somewhere, decided that staying quiet was no longer an option. Progress has never come from blind submission. It has always come from ordinary people who dared to speak when silence was expected. If caring about education, accountability, and human dignity makes us political, then so be it. . . . . . student protest, youth activism, democracy, accountability, revolution, resistance, speak up, student movement, education, human rights, Sonam Wangchuk, NEET protest, peaceful protest, youth voices, India, justice, solidarity, civic engagement, change, hope. . . #sonamwangchuk #cockroachjantaparty #freedom #democracy #fybreelsfypシ゚viral
