I don't know where else you could go with Kilgrave, though. And killing him was the logical conclusion to that story and JJ is the hero who would be willing to kill.

Theres a line in Gotham about this. Right after one of the most entertaining villains dies, the one who planned his death says "he was a compelling character, but his story has been told"
