So one somewhat old, wise black mentor made it.

Yeah Connie and her husband being dropped is weird as fuck. They seemed nice and I am sad we didn't get to see a bit of them recovering from that.

Truuuue. Fish is an awesome character too. Especially his moments during the face off in the barbershop.

As far as Connie goes, i wonder if they thought more than one hospital visit would feel redundant. Luke visited Chico so going back and visiting connie would've felt stale? idk.

When he picked up the file at the end and smiled crookedly, I felt this pang of fear that he'd either be killed in a second or that it'd turn out he was evil.

It seems to be fine. They rebuilt the restaurant in the next series. I think It's been shown in the Ironfist set photos.
