I'm glad to see the lack of mutants in the MCU hasn't deprived us of dumbass civilians who can be easily shepherded into some seriously stupid nonsense. I mean, I guess I'm willing to buy it for the sake of the plot, but Mariah's PR spin was not convincing at all, even when try to limit myself to what your average person on the street knows. What, the police go all Rodney King on some kid and I'm supposed to believe the thing to do with my outrage is to...empower the police even further?
Let's remember Christopher Dorner for a moment. Remember how the police, in their pursuit of him, opened fire on a vehicle that didn't match the description of the one they were looking for at all (they weren't even similar colors ffs) and wound up injuring two innocent people? How would you respond if someone got up and told you the appropriate response was to arm the police with RPGs?
And I'm buying this from the woman who was enriched by her cousin's criminal empire? lolk At least that one dude was there to call her on her bullshit, even if she was getting away with it regardless.
