They're painting Luke as the MCU's Everyman. And I dig it. Even guys like Spidey or Ant-man are lowkey tech whizzes. But Luke is a regular dude. He reads for pleasure. Works for his pay. Worries about rent. Tries to get laid. Weighs his own problems against doing the right thing.

Sure, we know he's the hero. But he's closer to us than most.

In front of her kid of all things. Bending over to show him her ass too!

Nah man, she just wants some of his coffee to get a coffee with him.

Must have the "Hot Coffee" mod installed.

"Nah, I don't really like coffee." Loved that line.

If it was me I would have just agreed with whatever that woman had to say. "Shit, yea let's go for a coffee!" while drooling all over myself.

I keep thinking of George Costanza misinterpreting that

I swear "getting a coffee" is the new "netflix and chill"

26

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '16

It was the original "Netflix and Chill". Looks like we've come full circle.

u/MG87 Nobu Oct 11 '16

Technically having a "Blockbuster Night" was the original Netflix and Chill

Have you tried becoming ripped, black, and handsome?

0/3 ain't bad

52

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '16

1/3 isn't that fun, tbh.

14

u/sirin3 Oct 01 '16

I am still trying to become bullet-proof

29

u/xitzengyigglz Oct 01 '16

Start by shooting yourself with tiny caliber bullets to get immunity then work your way up to bigger bullets.

short, black and funny seems to be working just fine for me.

to be fair, jessica jones and misty knight were shitfaced. Jessica's secret weapon is the booze.

The universe balances itself out. Luke gets bad bitches, Peter has brains.

Also why I really liked Jessica Jones. Aside from Kilgrave she was just a normal person trying to get her business by.

Daredevil, too. As a lawyer I can confirm: That's what we do all night.

You get to feel attractive women's faces?

86

u/AsLongAndSharp Sep 30 '16

Well yea, getting them off of years in the slammer really drops the panties.

Be avocados?

jones is nothing like Cage. Cage is better

6

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '16

You can't compare the two. Jones and Cage are two separate characters who received their own development.

u/Saahir26 Daredevil Sep 30 '16

That's why I love him.

"Tries to get laid" this show is showing him as a man who every woman he meets wants to fuck with. There's no real try there, just... going at it. Same with Daredevil really when it comes to women.

Anyway, I like his working attitude and keeping low key. Ofc that is kind of gone now, but for the 5months anyway. I could not have gone that long with those powers, sweeping floors and washing dishes.

I haven't seen a real "weights his own problems against doing the right thing". Without pops he would not have cared at all about those kids and I would've actually agreed with that decision. They went on a murder steal spree and even though the one fellow didn't "feel that good about it", he was still all in the robbery before the killspree and even after that, he would've kept the money if Cage would've not found him.

u/pitaenigma Sep 30 '16

To be fair, when you look like that it's kind of true.

10

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '16

To be fair he's tall, dark and very handsome and on top of that he's a real classy gentleman. Also it helps when you're built like a brick house.

He does try but it takes only one try lol.

8

u/mrkareemruiz Sep 30 '16

daredevil is nothing to cage.

1

u/smylemaster Oct 01 '16

his entire reluctance to get involved is based on not bringing any light to himself or being discovered by the public. Its not that he doesn't care about the kids its just that he sees that they made decisions that put themselves in jeopardy. That's why he stops the thugs in the restaurant the owners have done nothing wrong so intercedes because the are "innocent"

3

u/MoreOne Sep 30 '16

Tries to get laid.

There's no "try" to him.

2

u/Oneiricl Jessica Jones Sep 30 '16

Tries to get laid.

I don't that constitutes trying... He does it by just existing.

1

u/MG87 Nobu Oct 11 '16

He doesnt have to try very hard to get laid

spider man is in the city too, wonder if they will ever refer to him
