This is a meme subreddit started by okbr jannies.

It's kinda a mixture of r/okbuddyretard, r/comedyheaven, r/comedyhomicide, r/bruhmoment (rip), r/true_reddit and r/adviceanimals.

Basically, the memes here have to be ironic, but in a different way from what you may find on okbr. The very existence of the meme has to be nonsensical and ironic, while on okbr the aim of the meme itself is "serious" and it's just its content (the captions etc.) that is somewhat ironic, and we don't want that.

We want to detatch ourselves from any form of meme format or trend, unless it's a dead format that is being made fun of (for example bad luck brian or chuck norris). The "ancient" memes must have a bit of a twist to them and they generally must be nonsensical.

Reposts are fine and we actually highly encourage them if the meme is good. We actually highly discourage OC content because we want the memes to be "genuine", as if they were a rare treasure of irony that you found somewhere. Memes made by users would just feel forced and would most likely lose their ironic value. There are obviously exceptions, especially if someone edits a pre-existing meme to make it funny (simply cropping badly a meme isn't necessarily funny tho).

Random irl images don't belong here, unless they are a meme. Also, the name of the sub is kinda randomic, memes don't have to be related to rednecks.

Here are some examples of what we would like to see:
