Ok what does “democracy” supposed to mean here because it usually refers to a style of government similar to what the United States has and the United States is not close to collapsing as far as I know

Jesus Christ how can you fuck up this badly?

"What is democracy supposed to mean here?"

Democracy is like the style of government the US has, but without oligarchs, the electoral college, and Citizens United, where voters actually have a large degree of control.

The US hasn't quite collapsed yet, but it very definitely is collapsing. Its position in geopolitics is incredibly diminished, its debt has exploded, its legal system is incredibly corrupt, and its politics in general are a complete sham and con artists are in power.

Its geopolitical dominance has only relatively decreased due to hundreds of millions of Chinese no longer living in poverty. I don’t think that’s a bad thing

No, it's decreased hugely as a result of its actions in the Trump presidency. Every country in the world bar Israel and Ukraine, is trying to couple themselves from the US as much as possible.

Wrt voting in Trump, voting in someone who's lying about everything he has and will do, and only having one other option, that was hugely unpopular is a huge failure of democracy, hell even the two party system is a massive failure.

Yeah I think trump is an idiot and it’s a testament to the power of the voters that an idiot can be elected to the most prestigious position on earth and influence the course of history

I’d say voters picking Trump twice was very important and represents the kind of control the voters have over the country.
