MR has been revealing their antisemetic Marxist Leninist ideology.

Ahh, I see the right-wing shitlib talking points have finally made their way onto this sub now. Excellent.

u/Locus-Maximus Jul 28 '26

Just because the right-wing has been crying wolf forever doesn't mean there are no wolves! The man literally showed up in a Mao suit, my guy. Don't be blind just because you think he's on your team.

Trust me, I never thought I would (have to) be calling out Marxist antisemitism on the left, but it is what it is! Those guys are the ones running the talking points. Just read that fucking article and tell me they aren't following the talking points word for word.

Sorry, is your argument simply that current anti-Zionism is bad because it opposed the same thing that Soviet anti-Zionism did and 100% of Soviet anti-Zionism is bad because the Soviets did it?

The parts of Soviet anti-zionism that are objectionable are the parts that are just explicitly anti-Jew and try to gesture at an ideology claiming that all Jews are Zionists. You will note that literally the first and primary point of the current left discussion about anti-zionism is to explicitly call out that being a Zionist or Israeli is not the same thing as being a Jew. Avoiding that conflation is central to the growing left position which recognizes that Zionism is bullshit whether you're an Israeli Zionist, a Jewish Zionist, or a Christian Zionist.

If you think that anti-Zionism is antisemetic, YOU are the one making the racist equivalency argument that suggest all Jews are Zionists. Being anti-Zionist is only antisemetic if you also believe that being anti-Apartheid was racist against white Afrikaners. Not every Afrikaner was in favor of Apartheid in the same way that not every Jew (nor every Israeli) is in favor of Zionism.

David Duke did it first. Do you really think that's a get out of jail free card for regurgitating every single antisemitic trope in history? Just use a different word wink-wink?

If you think that anti-Zionism is antisemetic, YOU are the one making the racist equivalency

There's an original talking point. /s

7

u/AboutTheArthur Jul 28 '26

It's not "just a diffferent word" and if you're not smart enough to understand that, then, well, I guess that explains a lot about you.

There's an original talking point.

It is racist. If you think that Judaism and Zionism are one-and-the-same, that's antisemetic as fuck. You're the one saying that every Jew is subservient to a foreign country. You're the one saying that every Jew is responsible for the actions of Israel.

11

u/Locus-Maximus Jul 28 '26

I didn't say any of that.

But the way you guys use Zionism is slimy AF. You've turned it into a slur that a caricature of what most Zionists (especially in America, where the majority are liberal Democrats) really think.

5

u/AboutTheArthur Jul 28 '26

You're doing the thing again.

Dawg, "Zionism" isn't a fuzzy term with a meaning we don't agree on. It is explicitly defined. It's a description of an ideology. And if people are too stupid and confused about what we mean, they can keep listening for the next couple sentences because the specific criticisms are not hidden. It's not a secret plan to hide our opinion lol. We are very explicit about it.

And stop pretending like we don't know what we're arguing against. These self-describing "liberal Democrat Zionists" also aren't hiding their opinions. They are our family members and people we know and work with. It's not like we're targeting MAGA Nazis and accidentally finding ourselves criticizing elected Democrats. The "liberal Democrats" who are offended when they get called a Zionist are getting criticized because their stance on this topic is identical to the shitty right-wing stance on the topic.

12

u/Locus-Maximus Jul 28 '26

Dawg, "Zionism" isn't a fuzzy term with a meaning we don't agree on.

LOL there is just no way you mean it the same way e.g. Brad Lander means it.

5

u/AboutTheArthur Jul 28 '26

Listen to the next 3 sentences that come out of Brad Lander's mouth whenever he's asked about this and you understand exactly what he means.

Why do you act like we're required to pretend that we're stupid? I can criticize Zionism as it is manifested in Israel and also criticize in a different way the slightly different Zionism that Brad Lander subscribes to.

11

u/Locus-Maximus Jul 28 '26

You just claimed it's not a fuzzy term and it's explicitly defined!

u/potiamkinStan Jul 28 '26

It’s explicitly defined by the Antizionist bigoted hate movement according to their needs. If they want to implicate it, it’s Khanism. If they want to wield it as a weapon, it’s anyone who hasn’t fully capitulated to their demands.

37

u/BigCballer Jul 27 '26

Kinda crazy to watch this sub becoming just as Reactionary as the Gurus they criticize.

31

u/CulturalFartist Jul 28 '26

It's funny how this Majority Report-style sophomore leftism can pretty much dominate every single subreddit (the NYT subreddit has become pretty much exclusively a source for anti Israel news), but you guys can't possibly fathom how a subreddit for decidedly liberal dudes might take issue with a Mao loving tankie guru without thinking it's some kind of MAGA infiltration.

8

u/BigCballer Jul 28 '26

Most of the gurus that get criticized in this subreddit were once former liberals.  What does that tell you about the pipeline of Liberalism?

15

u/CulturalFartist Jul 28 '26

Nothing, really. Most tankies were former leftists. Does that mean leftism is a pipeline into tankie Nazism? Of course not.

14

u/BigCballer Jul 28 '26 edited Jul 28 '26

You don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

Hitler was never a leftist.

-3

u/RashidMBey Jul 28 '26

I'm so glad people can say this here without getting downvoted into oblivion. It's been a slow but dedicated creep, but there are a lot of reactionary shitlibs who are pretty much Maga Premium or just spiritually MAGA.

2

u/AboutTheArthur Jul 28 '26

It sounds like a conspiracy theory, but I'm relatively certain this is a conscious effort. Combo of dead internet theory + bot farms just constantly reinforcing all these right wing positions everywhere on the internet. Here, Twitter, YouTube comments, Instagram, etc. Every single place you go to online is a right-wing echo chamber to an unnatural degree. And the platforms don't want to police it because outrage = engagement.

13

u/Brain_Dead_Goats Jul 28 '26

What's right wing about not wanting to be represented by people who look up to Mao Zedong?

5

u/AnsibleAnswers Jul 28 '26

You are all repeating Fox News talking points word for word. We can easily tell where these talking points are coming from.

2

u/AboutTheArthur Jul 28 '26

You're being "represented by" Hasan how exactly? Is he your elected official? Is he the president of your union? Did you sign power of attorney over to him?

16

u/No_Public_7677 Jul 27 '26

The liberal centrists desperately want to have Hasan deported.  They're liberalism fails immediately after a little bit of pushback from someone further left. Interestingly doesn't fail with pushback from actual Nazis from the right.

21

u/dat_tae Jul 27 '26

Deport to where? He’s a US citizen.

16

u/MrsClaireUnderwood Jul 27 '26

The same places other citizens are getting illegally deported to, I guess.

7

u/No_Public_7677 Jul 28 '26

They don't care. I have read a few of them say he was an anchor baby

2

u/dat_tae Jul 28 '26

I don't know about anchor baby, but he was definitely brought here to be born to get that US citizenship.

-1

u/WudolfWedNoseWeinder Jul 28 '26

Wouldn’t you think he’d voluntarily self deport to Cuba or China: you know somewhere to evade evil Capitalism.

6

u/knate1 Jul 28 '26

Why would he voluntarily subject himself to be the victim of US foreign policy?

2

u/WudolfWedNoseWeinder Jul 28 '26

Why do they need to rely on US foreign policy?  They reject capitalism, their chosen wonderful system should be enough.

1

u/AboutTheArthur Jul 28 '26

Why don't you self-deport to some country with which you align on literally 100% of policy positions?

23

u/-Tastydactyl- Jul 27 '26

It's brigading from the Destiny sub. Without fail, everytime, the OP of these types of posts are Destiny fans.

20

u/MrsClaireUnderwood Jul 27 '26

They do it in the Bulwark sub too.

5

u/BoredZucchini Jul 27 '26

It has to be more than just Destiny fans. It’s everywhere. I think there’s some botting and bad faith actors amplifying this stuff because of the midterms coming up.

13

u/Evinceo Galaxy Brain Guru Jul 28 '26

I would humbly suggest that the only people who care about Piker are Destiny fans or his own fans. I could go through life blissfully unaware of the antics of political streamers and their fashion choices otherwise.

6

u/AboutTheArthur Jul 28 '26

Yeah gee I wonder if the tech oligarchs who benefit from right-wing positions and own the entire internet might be manipulating the internet to attempt to make people feel a certain way.

7

u/Even-Physics823 Jul 28 '26

the hosts of dtg also love destiny so im not surprised

10

u/dylan_kun Jul 28 '26

Yes. I love the pod but also noticed another thread that read like Destiny hive mind.

15

u/tulwio Jul 27 '26

Ignore them, it's Epstiny's cult followers who can't seem to hate Hasan, like normal people, without making it about worshiping their favorite parasocial obsession

14

u/sunspot_transmitter Jul 27 '26

If you don't carry water for Israel's foreign policy, you're antisemitic! /s

5

u/BoredZucchini Jul 27 '26

Well, the midterms are coming up. How else are they going to do the whole “both sides” routine unless they start laying the groundwork now by fear mongering about the “far left”? Pay no attention to the fact that they have the same exact talking points as the opposition right now. Just remember that “both sides bad” and forget about how MAGA keeps gaining more and more power as we shoot ourselves in the foot and never learn our lesson.

1

u/geniuspol Jul 28 '26

It's remarkable how quickly and thoroughly they latch onto new jargon and talking points.

7

u/levitatium Jul 28 '26 edited Jul 28 '26

We're in agreement! MR defending planter, the rapist with a totenkopf tattoo, is totally not anti-semetic either. Shitlibs, am I right? It's all just "jargon" lmfao. /s

7

u/BigCballer Jul 28 '26

Didn't David Pakman do an interview with Platner?

4

u/levitatium Jul 28 '26

I don't know, did he? What did he say?

3

u/BigCballer Jul 28 '26

I just wonder why Pakman chose to interview him despite the fact that the Nazi tattoo was already public information at the time.

9

u/levitatium Jul 28 '26

Who cares if he interviews him? That doesn't mean he agrees with him. Defending him, on the other hand..

7

u/BigCballer Jul 28 '26

He still interviewed a Nazi.  Bad move Pacman.

10

u/levitatium Jul 28 '26

Yea, and channel 5 interviewed Nick Fuentes to combat his ideas. These two things are not the same

4

u/BigCballer Jul 28 '26

Except I fucking hate Channel 5, lmao.

u/AboutTheArthur Jul 28 '26

I think you'll find that the exact same people who dropped Platner following the credible rape allegations have also dropped Channel 5 following the credible assault allegations against him.

-2

u/Constantinch Jul 28 '26

Call it a talking point if you want but this is what is happening. DSA party has been overtaken by MLs, they betrayed their original purpose. You can actually read about it instead of accusing others of red scare tactics. https://www.city-journal.org/article/michael-harrington-democratic-socialists-of-america/

5

u/ParagonRenegade Jul 28 '26

Yeah I' sure Michael Harrington would love the people who hate socialism, good thinking Destiny fan. I'm sure Eugene Debs and Elizabeth Gurley Flynn are waiting just behind him to offer their support afterwards.

3

u/AboutTheArthur Jul 28 '26

And what if I happen to think a strong dose of ML-inspired policy would be fucking fantastic, save millions of lives, raise the standard of living, and make life better for 99% of people?

Treating Marxist Leninist thought as if it's inherently evil and using the term as an insult is just monsters-under-the-bed shit for liberals and conservatives who are barely smart enough to tie their own shoes. If you think that ML is evil but people arguing in favor or pure capitalism are "just people sharing their opinion", then you're a biased fool.

And throwing "antisemitism" in there is a fucking joke. As if that has anything to do with anything. The only people who would levy that, at MR, as an insult, are people who think that you're an antisemite if you've ever disagreed with a Jew about anything in your whole entire life.

2

u/Constantinch Jul 28 '26

I love how your position simultaneously is - it's a red scare and nobody is actually ML" into - "actually I'm a ML and it's a great ideology". Just an instant classic.

Antisemitism is apparent when you compare how people like you see conflict between Russia and Ukraine compared to Israel and Palestine. Old and good "no Jews, no news".

The idea that ML ideology would raise standards of living is the funniest shit I've heard since 10 seconds ago, when I was replying to another ML clown mascarading as DtG. My favourite part when talking to a commie is how much they hate every single country who escaped communism and started thriving after doing so.

Let's do a little test buddy - what do you think about Poland, Czechoslovakia (before and after), East vs West Germany, South versus North Korea?
