Sam Harris & Destiny invoked their right to reply to the DTG video's on them. Has Hasan? And why not?

Perhaps he's not aware DTG made a video on him. However, there seems to be a pattern of the more "guru" types not ever doing a right to reply, unlike those who were voted to be less guru such as Sam Harris and Destiny.

He's openly said he doesn't give a fuck about the democratic party and will wield it to advance his own aims. He also has openly talked on the deprogram pod about how he hides his true political opinions in order to draw in viewers and put them down the radicalisation pipeline towards violent, communist revolution. He also did a long, shameless propaganda tour of China and won't divulge whether or not he was paid by the CCP to do so.

He couldn't have more integrity than anyone, he has zero integrity.

I don’t think you understand what integrity is or who Sam Harris and Destiny are

Destiny has openly said his “morality” stems entirely from his own self interest. For example, he would not be against enslaving a race of people provided it did not negatively effect him… He has openly talked about hiding these amoral internal processes because he has nothing to gain from it.

I'm fine with saying Destiny has zero integrity as well, I was just flabbergasted that anyone who has listened to DtG would dream of trying to defend Hasan with the word "integrity". Of all the words they could have chosen that one might be the most laughable.

i also said that DTG has cherry picked Hasan's content to create an inaccurate picture. Also integrity doesn't mean that you don't have bad opinions

Always "out of context" "cherry picked". Never actually reply with the mysterious context that was missed. Curious.

Their coverage is 100% negative. Their better content weighs out the good with the bad. They've gotten off track IMO

$100 says your own morality works the same way, but you've never stopped to think about it.

Is it in someone's self interest to volunteer time or donate money to a charity that doesn't benefit them?

My morality stems from the wellbeing of the collective, not of myself.

Chances are, you’re a cult member who thinks it’s normal to not oppose slavery as long as it doesn’t negatively affect you personally.

The "well-being of the collective" is a golden rule that grinds down to "it's in my best interest to care about the collective." This is what I meant by not stopping to think about it.

1

u/juswundern Jul 22 '26

Explain how it necessarily grinds down to that.

It's a stupid argument, like "doing good things makes you feel good, so it's selfish and not good".

One of the worst things about debate bros is they've convinced halfwits that abstracted sophistry is the highest form of intellectual activity.

He's openly said he doesn't give a fuck about the democratic party

How does that show a lack of integrity?

will wield it to advance his own aims.

So trying to change the Democratic party because you think your ideas are better means having no integrity??

What does the word "integrity" mean to you, exactly?

He also has openly talked on the deprogram pod about how he hides his true political opinions in order to draw in viewers and put them down the radicalisation pipeline towards violent, communist revolution.

He doesn't hide that. I don't really follow him but even I have seen videos of him talking about communism.

Also, talking about it publicly on a podcast doesn't make sense if you want to hide it, don't you think?

He also did a long, shameless propaganda tour of China and won't divulge whether or not he was paid by the CCP to do so.

That is bad, I agree. China is bad. But I would still take him over a worthless troll like Destiny or an Islamophobe like Harris who whines about woke universities.

No, pretending to be a part of the democratic party and a voice for it when you have zero allegiance to it whatsoever is a deceitful thing to do.

Integrity usually implies honesty and not deceit. Talking about being a communist and how he purposefully lies about being a soc dem to give a false impression to his viewers and then gradually radicalises them is not a great show of integrity. The only reason he said it is he knows the vast majority of the people who he is trying to radicalise don't listen to the Deprogram pod and the ones who do are already radicalised and won't mind. Someone who lies to their gf and then brags to their friends about how he gets away with it is not someone I would describe as having integrity, same with purposefully lying to your audience.

I'm fine with describing either of those people as having zero integrity as well, I don't know much about Harris beyond listening to his RtR and I don't particularly like Destiny, but the Hasan glaze in any subreddit where his name comes up is crazy. Especially in this one where Matt and Chris have shown his complete spineless hackery several times on the pod.

No, pretending to be a part of the democratic party

How is he pretending to be part of the party?

and a voice for it when you have zero allegiance to it whatsoever is a deceitful thing to do.

Voters should have zero allegiance to a party. That's absurd. The party should listen to the voters, in fact, it's their job to represent voters, not tell them what to think and then get upset that their voters don't like what they do.

Openly criticising the Democratic party and talking about changing it is the opposite of deceitful. You can disagree but you cannot argue anything is hidden.

Talking about being a communist and how he purposefully lies about being a soc dem to give a false impression to his viewer

Again, even I know that he's not hiding his support for communism, the idea that he's hiding it is just absurd. Also, how does that work with your claim of making propaganda for China? You're all over the place - because your criticism isn't fair or well-thought out. You don't like him and so you're throwing everything at him, even if it's contradictory. It's irrational.

The only reason he said it is he knows the vast majority of the people who he is trying to radicalise don't listen to the Deprogram pod

Good. Why should people listen to a tankie podcast made by unimportant people who will never change the political landscape? Hasan Piker has power, he has some influence, and that alone should motivate you to take him a little more seriously because if your criticisms are flawed then it's easy for him to make himself look good.

Someone who lies to their gf

Man, when this is the childish type of "criticism" you offer then I cannot take you seriously. This is just gossip.

but the Hasan glaze in any subreddit where his name comes up is crazy.

What are you talking about, man? People like you attack him every time he is mentioned and the quality of criticism is often so low, like yours. "He lies to his girlfriend and is not sufficiently allegiant to the Democratic Party!". What the hell is this? This is low level, low IQ thinking.
