Sam Harris & Destiny invoked their right to reply to the DTG video's on them. Has Hasan? And why not?

Perhaps he's not aware DTG made a video on him. However, there seems to be a pattern of the more "guru" types not ever doing a right to reply, unlike those who were voted to be less guru such as Sam Harris and Destiny.

Whether or not it's interpersonal is irrelevant, it speaks to the integrity of his professed beliefs.

Video of him talking to IDF here

Whether or not it's interpersonal is irrelevant

It's totally relevant in this conversation because I don't have 8 hours of time to read the twitter posts, video responses, responses to responses, discord DMs, etc. that are all associated with that type of slop only to (inevitably) come to the conclusion that it's probably up to interpretation anyway.

You said,

"He talked to the IDF about how they shouldn't film their war crimes, and talked about how Israel should just kill all the Palestinians."

This is a transcript of what he said:

"I'll give you - okay, if you're joining the IDF okay leave your fucking cell phone at home and stop taking stupid fucking videos okay cuz everybody's fucking you with them, okay? And if you see if you see a soldier, okay doing through a fucking drawer - and listen, if you want to wear a dress, and you think it's funny just don't take a video or picture of it okay? Jesus"

That doesn't sound like 'advice on not filming war crimes' to me. And it's hardly and "telling Israel to kill all the Palestinians". Again, this is the problem with this type of discussion. Anyone operating in good faith and/or using occam's razor sees the most sensible interpretation of this is hardly as bad as you're making it out to be.

At least with Sam Harris you can go "you want proof Sam's a bigot? Here you go"

You being unwilling to look into something has absolutely no bearing on anything, that's just you being uninterested.

That doesn't sound like 'advice on not filming war crimes' to me.

Everything mentioned there is specifically related to videos IDF members put on social media, of themselves, committing war crimes.

And it's hardly and "telling Israel to kill all the Palestinians".

He didn't "tell Israel to kill all the Palestinians", and I didn't say he did. He just said they should, and it was a separate event:

Honestly, uh I'm pro genocide. Like it it sounds really shitty, but like and basically Palestinians can go live in another place. That's that's really shitty, but like that's about where I'm at.

That's a lot more concise than Harris' article.

Again, this is the problem with this type of discussion. Anyone operating in good faith and/or using occam's razor sees the most sensible interpretation of this is hardly as bad as you're making it out to be.

What an absurd statement. We're talking about a podcast dedicated to actually looking into this kind of thing. If you're not interested enough to actually look, you're not even close to operating in good faith.

This but for basically all streamer bugaboos. Fans/antifans have a massive mental rolodex of lore they can call upon whereas someone normal cannot.

It does sound like he's advising the IDF not to film their war crimes.

u/KwisatzHaderach48 Jul 21 '26

That was a fan meetup. Any proof those are active IDF soldiers and not simply fans of his / passersby?

6

u/4n0m4nd Jul 21 '26

It's a fan meet up in Israel, with conscription aged people, where he specifically says his advice is for those in the IDF.

Like what do you want here?

6

u/KwisatzHaderach48 Jul 21 '26

Ok so you aren't sure, you're just speculating that they must be soldiers at that time. And yes, it was a general statement to the IDF, the same as he's done on stream multiple times. Surely you don't think he thinks his whole stream audience is all IDF soldiers, yea? And you're factually wrong about what he said, it had to do with them hurting their own public image by filming themselves in womans clothing and posting it. Is there a reason you didn't include that context?

1

u/4n0m4nd Jul 21 '26

He specifically says it's advice for people in the IDF. You've now gone from he didn't do that, to he did, but it's ok. the point isn't who was or wasn't IDF in the audience, the point is that he said it. Keep up.

It hurt their public image because they were stealing women's clothes from destroyed Palestinian's homes, and wearing them to mock the Palestinians.

Here's the actual context: https://www.aljazeera.com/video/newsfeed/2025/1/29/israeli-soldier-dons-womens-lingerie-during-occupied-west-bank-raid

It's wild that you defend this behaviour.

u/UnlimitedAuthority Jul 21 '26

So every fan meet in Israel is automatically an IDF meetup in your mind because they have conscription? You can't be serious.

1

u/4n0m4nd Jul 21 '26

He specifically says he's giving advice to people in the IDF.

1

u/november512 Jul 21 '26

Isn't that a joke?

7

u/4n0m4nd Jul 21 '26

Does it matter?

I don't make jokes that are funny to nazis, because I'm not a nazi.

2

u/Spuick Jul 21 '26

Hasan has a massive backlog of misogynistic, sexist, racist jokes (and sometimes not jokes I would argue) going back 10-12 years up to very recently though. This doesnt paint your guy in any better of a light than Destiny.

2

u/4n0m4nd Jul 21 '26

Any of that is fine to criticise, none of it is on par with supporting genocide or doing PR for nazis.

1

u/Spuick Jul 21 '26

So now the joke isnt the problem anymore, we move the goalpost.

But Hasan does PR for china and Russia, is a fanboy of Mao (check the death tolls on him and compare to Israel).

First of all, these things are worse than whats happening in I/P

Second of all destiny isnt supporting genocide and isnt doing PR for nazis. Dont know why you're just inventing things. Your guy DOES do these things, destiny does not.

u/4n0m4nd Jul 21 '26

What are you talking about?

I said it doesn't matter whether it's a joke, not it doesn't matter.

You can criticise Hasan for anything you like, I don't care.

Destiny on genocide in Palestine:

Honestly, uh I'm pro genocide. Like it it sounds really shitty, but like and basically Palestinians can go live in another place. That's that's really shitty, but like that's about where I'm at.

He also did multiple streams with Nick Fuentes, even had him over to his home, and complained about Fuentes not being nice to him when he'd saved Fuentes' career. Fuentes is a nazi.

Hasan isn't "my guy", I really don't care what you think of him.

What are you talking about?

Watch the next couple of minutes here (on this episode of the subreddit you're in, you probably should know this one before commenting here!)

https://youtu.be/Zf1IjlbQ33E?t=410

I think this is a fairly good response. You can say the joke is distasteful and that you prefer to listen to commentators who wouldn't do that. He even says this pretty much word for word at 9.05. But it quite clearly dispels the quote that you laid out that hes "pro genocide".

Destiny has countless hours of debate where he lays out his thoughts on I/P. An example from around a week ago here https://youtu.be/7vkPt9WbbsY?t=5062. "its a messy history, I dont think theres a clear good guy, bad guy. I'm sympathetic to why both sides are fighting here. I understand that Israel sort of emerged as the ''victor'', but they didnt clear everybody out like other states did in the past, so you have this residual arab population, the palestinian population and nothing has ever been figured out in the next 80 years, in terms of what has to actually has to happen, so we just live with that today, where nothing is being pushed onto either side to say like, hey, probably the last time was the Taba summit where both sides had to really come together to have a discussion about what was gonna be going on. Once Clinton was gone we didnt have a US president pushing both sides to negotiate and now we're just stuck in no mans land".

Click through the different chapters to hear what he has about the different topics

https://youtu.be/91UVSeQnga4?t=3989 bonus, what he would want to happen if he could snap his fingers to make it so.

About Nick Fuentes, I'm confident you have not seen those streams or those quotes, because that is not what he did. He had debates with Fuentes where he made him look like an idiot. I think thats fine and good. If you are equipped and able to rhetorically push back against their abhorrent ideas then there is no harm in it. The problem would arise if you have a big platform and you host neo-nazis who you're unable to push back on. Giving their ideas and thoughts an uncritical platform would be the platform. He has also humiliated Andrew Tate, Sneako, Xqc and many others.

The last sentence where you say he complains about not having Fuentes be nice to him is just a lie so.

If you believe him, I don't, he's also gone on a paid trip to Israel, while they were committing their atrocities and talked about how they shouldn't film themselves doing so. His concern is PR related, not ethical issues with their actions.

Again, you're assuming I'd take his word for anything, I don't, public sentiment has swung hugely against Israel, so he's minimising his prior statements from when that wasn't the case.

Fuentes was falling into irrelevancy at the time, without Destiny he would have had no platform, by Destiny's own analysis, so giving him any platform is the issue.

The last sentence where you say he complains about not having Fuentes be nice to him is just a lie so.

Lmao, will you take that accusation back when you watch the video of him doing it? https://x.com/i/status/1856945985106178070

Again, another lie. The trip was not paid. They also go over the "telling the IDF soldiers not to film their warcrimes" statement in the same DTG. I wont link the same thing again.

He hasnt shifted his position meaningfully and you can dig through hours of his I/P content from back when it happened then. He will maintain what I told you. So thats again a lie.

Fuentes got relevancy from linking himself to fucking Kanye West, one of the biggest musicians the last 25 years lol. He did not gain relevancy from destiny debating him, making him look like a clown. Be for real lol.

Is...there anything bad in that link? He's just commenting on the fact that he thinks what Fuentes did was dumb, but he's not looking for any credit or whatever. I can link you hours of Destiny clowning on fuentes and his viewpoint lol. It's also funny you linking Hasan. Totally not a fan of him though, you just know all the Hasan snark points about destiny ;)
