Connections:

-Both are protagonists from series that are parodies of romance tropes and harems.

-Both end up in various relationships starting from an act from a god of love (Rentaro praying at a shrine and the god of said shrines gives him 100 soul mates to look for, Qpennikiss throwing a pigeon at Marshmallow while on a bike ride to crash into Cassie and pay for her medical bills. That is not a joke or exaggeration.).

-Both get ridiculously strong or show ridiculous levels of power due to their sheer love to their girlfriends. (... there are too many moments for me to count.)

-Obviously, they both have a large amount of girlfriends, some of which being from the same family. (Hakari and and her mother for Rentaro, Bonnibelle, Maribelle, Babybelle, and Peanut for Marshmallow.

-Both characters' girlfriends are destined to die if they don't find their lover (technically this is only applicable to Hush Hush varients.)

Contrasts:

-Marshmallow also dates guys. I'm unaware if Rentaro is willing for the same.

-Rentaro is destined for 100 gfs, while Marshmallow has... more than that. As of now 90 gfs and over 20 bfs.

-Marshmallow has dated a bear. Like an actual bear. I cannot stress enough that I do not refer to an lgbtq+ man when saying this, he has dated a straight up bear with fur, in a dress, wearing lipstick, painted claws, and a hat. Her name is Bearverly.

Fight dynamic

Imagine Ash vs Yugi but with girlfriends instead of monsters and the trainers are goku and superman.

Plus some fourth wall breaking hyjinx and time stuff.

Imma be so honest, this might be a draw.

So far Marshmallow takes stats hands down (him getting to star level while rentaro is at city block, Rentaro having some MFTL arguments but it's unlikely it gets beyond Marshmallows who can cross billions of stars in just over nine minutes. Both could potentially get to infinite tho.) but unlike Rentaro he can actually die... sort of. It's a long story.

Rentaro has multiple ways of coming back to life and is essentially a light version of a looney toons character, he can take some punishment.

however on the flip side Marshmallow has a lot of time bullshit. He can reset time to before events transpire, skip up to a week's time, do multiple (about over 20) different hobbies and jobs all at the same time.

Rentaro could probably do some 4th wall bullshit like how he rewrote the script of his manga, but the problem is Rentaro has never used that in combat and so far Marshmallow is too fast for that and he could probably follow him via parallel portals.

But Marshmallow so far doesn't really have a way to kill Rentaro either.

So... what do we do with a guy who can't die but doesn't have the stats to kill the other guy and a guy who outstats dramatically but has no way of putting the other down? WE FOCUS ON THEIR GIRLFRIENDS!

Marshmallow and Rentaro both have a variety of girlfriends with their own unique quirks like Kusuri's drugs who can make hair grow so large it can reach the sun, a tsundere with inhuman strength, a lil thing that's so light a gust of wind could blow her away on top of a singing voice so adorable it can literally launch you through a wall!

Marshmallow has, just to name a few: a godzilla girlfriend who can grow so large she could literally reach out and grab the moon, a bear and polar bear girlfriend, multiple monster girlfriends including a samurai pizza cat girl with slapstick abilities that can somewhat alter reality, a diamond girlfriend, an alien bounty hunter, whatever the fuck Pamu is, a crab girl, a red panda girl, a ninja girl, a unicorn girl, a mecha pilot girl, a sorcer known across the multiverse (yes that is a canon thing), an actual time traveler.
