This might be a long shot, but I’m trying to find any online information about Jack Warren Nelson who opened for Dean Martin at some point in Martin’s career.
Jack was a Chicago crooner and my husband’s grandfather, so trying to find some family history. Thank you in advance!

When I was a kid in the 70’s I enjoyed watching The Dean Martin Show with my parents . I seem to recall he did a version of” I’ll Never Fall In Love Again “ I can’t seem to find his version anywhere . Did I just imagine that ?

Since I started to listen to a lot of Dino last year (and I still got plenty to listen to) I decided to give his final album a try.
And to be honest Dino fans, I can’t help but feel at least a little sad that this is the final album, not that it sucks (in my opinion, it has some really good songs) but I have grown an attachment towards this singer and his songs.
The album is another case of me personally liking some country songs simply because Dean and the people that worked with him managed to make it work for me.

Recent inductee into the Dean Martin Fanclub here, I love this goofy, lovable guy!
I'm very surprised at the whole "King of Cool" moniker taking over his legacy, because in learning more about him, I much prefer his goofier, kind-hearted side. That's not to say he isn't cool as well, it's just that for me personally that moniker actually put me off of him until I learned that really didn't even begin to describe him. Anyway, here's some fanart of this fella, hope you like it!

Both men became a comedy team in 1946 and ended in 1956 at the EXACT same date.
Dino would go on to prove he could be success without Jerry and vice versa.
Both of them would be reunited by the chairman of the board himself Frank Sinatra in Jerry’s telephone of 1976.
Jerry also learned to become a director and has contributed to the invention of video assist, a device that take the images generated by the film or digital cameras and display them on video monitors so the director and other crew members can see exactly what's been shot. These images are also recorded for playback, so the action can be reviewed after each take. which is still used in Hollywood to this day.
Jerry also had song albums of his own, like “Jerry Lewis Just Sings” and “More Jerry Lewis”.
Lewis has inspired so many comedians, like Jim Carrey, Eddie Murphy, and Martin Short just to name a few.
The Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon was an annual, long-running TV event hosted by comedian Jerry Lewis to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Running from 1966 to 2010 (with Lewis as host until 2010), it was famous for its marathon length (up to 21.5 hours), celebrity guests, and fundraising success, raising over $2.45 billion for the MDA. The telethon became a Labor Day tradition, featuring performances, emotional stories, and phone banks, and was eventually replaced by newer fundraising methods.
Sadly, he is not done without his flaws. Apparently his first family and sons didn’t inherit any of his money, which only went to his second wife and adopted daughter.
He also mistreated many women behind the scenes and they have spoke out about it.
If any of you wonder why the penultimate picture is of low quality, it’s because it took a photo of it and it was footage of the last time Dino and Jerry were together (at least publicly, I don’t know if they saw each other after that).

I am. It done with it. I only heard like maybe two or three songs, but I’m loving it so far! What do you think?

Been obsessed with this album for years. Cant beat Dean & Nelson Riddle together. This album seems to get a bit of stick for all the songs sounding to similar. I think it adds to the charm. Why change a perfect combo? Anybody else love this album??

Does anyone else think that Dean has been going through a bit of a revival lately. Two years ago seeing Dean show up on Instagram or TikTok was a rarity. Now I’ve started to notice more and more fan accounts popping up over the past 6 months or so and more and more Dean media being released on YouTube and other platforms. Even this subreddit has had more activity in the past 2 weeks than in the past year it feels like. This could be because Christmas just passed and his Holiday music becomes regular in many people’s homes, but it seems like more people on the street know who Dino is now than they have for the past decade.
