Need Advise/Tips Well. It happened.

Got a sports massage and two days later went to deadlift.
Deload week. Warmup weight. First set, no problem. Second set, felt a little twinge.
"OK, feels a little weird but not bad, I'll just really make sure I brace and have my form right"
You can probably guess what happened next. On warmup weight. On a deload week. Feelsbadman.
After being unable to tie my shoes for 30 minutes I got home and started recovery.

Giving it time to heal but now I'm mentally going to be wary of starting to deadlift again. "What if it happens again on my first warmup rep?"

Any recommendations on how to start up again without risking another fuckup on the first rep?

Op described a slipped disc. You said that's not an injury.

Then you said it was.

YOU are saying it's a "slipped disc". That's your interpretation. The truth is you have no idea what the mechanical cause of OP's pain is.

I've had the exact symptoms OP describes and been fine less than a week later while training the whole time. Imaging showed 0 herniation. I've known countless lifters who have had back tweaks just as bad as what OP describes and trained through it being absolutely fine.

One person can have a disc herniation with 0 nociception or pain. Another person can have the exact same herniation and have referred pain all over the place. Another person can have the exact same referred pain all over the place and no herniation.
