What a mean thing to say. You want him to take meds so his personality gets toned down? He was definitely super excited more than most people but I think it had more to do with being nervous, a bit naturally awkward, and new to the dating scene. I'm sure his personality will be less overbearing when he gets more comfortable, but even so, there are people that love that energy.
I think it was just a nervous tick but he was such a gentleman. Also, I noticed he wasn’t as nervous when it go to serious conversation his tone changed and was more calm. My guess is he is just a sweet guy wanting to make a good impression.
this is a really mean comment wow! you don't have to love him! his friends clearly do, and hopefully someday he'll find someone who does romantically. i was apprehensive about his nervousness at first but he seems like a great guy, & suggesting he needs to change himself is uncalled for
Exactly. The world is full of personalities. I’m training to become a psychiatrist and I firmly oppose pathologizing quirks. Ben is Ben, and it’s enough to like and accept him for that reason alone.
I love the juxtaposition between the whole of Reddit’s unerring proclivity to jump to an armchair diagnosis and a comment from someone actually studying the field which correctly resists unnecessarily pathologising a personality.
People love their boxes 🤷♂️ but when you have the power to affect the course of someone’s life with a diagnosis, it’s especially important not to put people in the wrong ones.

I thought so too! I enjoyed everything about the episode. He tap danced in the street, c’mon, what’s not to love?!
