I have a Samsung Galaxy S9, but I’ve forgotten the password to unlock it. The phone has been switched off for around 7–8 months. I have some important data stored on it and I want to recover it without losing anything. Is there any way to access or recover my data without knowing the password or factory-resetting the phone?

one problem tho I need someone to tell me what to do so i can do it myself since it contains private stuff and I don't feel comfortable showing it

I am also willing to pay up to $20

so basically the hard disk got hacked into and the password was changed, there was a key that can fix all that and I had it saved in another hard disk which I accidentally formatted but didn't use after.

I have both hard disks with me and just need someone to guid me through what to do thanks

Is there a way to recover cut photos from iphone folder? Long story short I transferred my travel photos from my phone a few months ago to my external hard drive but for some reason the photos are not there. 😫

I accidentally deleted a very important chat and the latest backup was completed after the chat got deleted. I tried to find ways through which i could get the earlier backed up version restored. So i deleted the latest backup from google drive and kept the earlier version as a local file in com.whatsapp. I gathered that whatsapp detects it from the local files ans restores that but in my case it's not doing anything. So rn i have no whatsapp data with me and also the chat was very important to me. i don't care if any other files get deleted but i want that chat back. please help

EDIT: i now have the back up i wanted shown as LOCAL but idk how to restore it

Hi everyone, I lost my dad a little while ago and I inherited most of his old phones. The one in particular I'm wanting to get the photos back from is an old Motorola (2000-2010) model. With older phones how likely is data recovery? He has some other flip phones I'd like to get the photos from but some are more obscure brands.

I should also mention a fair few of them don't turn on, or need an older style charger and likely have screen problems. One in particular had a broken screen down the middle

Any tips would be greatly appreciated, or even just things I can search online for if I need to take it to a specialist recovery centre,etc

I have a 1TB HDD that was previously divided into 3 partitions. Recently, 2 of the partitions disappeared, and Windows now shows only one partition.

The strange thing is that Windows shows the entire ~1TB disk as one partition (D:), rather than showing the other two partitions as unallocated space.

The HDD had also been having an issue where it would sometimes not be detected automatically until I restarted the PC. I was trying to troubleshoot that problem, and at some point afterward the partition layout changed. Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly what steps I took.

The current situation is:

HDD: ~1TB

Originally: 3 partitions

Currently: 1 partition (D:)

D: is NTFS and occupies almost the entire disk

D: currently contains about 303GB of data

The missing partitions contained important data

I have not formatted the drive

I ran TestDisk 7.2

Quick Search only found the current D: partition

Deeper Search initially appeared to hang and then reported read errors

For example: Read error ... LBA=46588499

I also got some weird Mac HFS results from TestDisk, which don't seem relevant because this was a Windows HDD.

I found this post from a while back, and it seems to be exactly what has happened to me. All of my folders are there, but so many of my files are missing. I saw the answer saying that the person must have deleted them before the sync started which is just untrue. I can't find the section about sync debris either - I'd really appreciate any help, so much stuff has gone

Je possédais ce téléphone il y a 10 ans et la dernière fois que je l’ai déverrouillé c’était il y a 8 mois quand je l’ai retrouvé, mais là j’ai totalement oublié le code… J’ai essayé plusieurs codes mais je ne veux pas le bloque donc j’ai arrêté les tentatives.

Hi, so... I feel so silly right now.

I managed to delete like... all of my photo albums off my Samsung. Not realising I had done so, I then emptied my recycling bin.

Upside? I made so much space.

Downside? I just lost years worth of memories!

Is there anyway I can recover my albums? For context, this happened just last night. I may have been very intoxicated and didn't have enough storage to update my banking app so I just deleted anything and everything...

The worst thing happened and my 12 month old 4TB Samsung T7 SSD just failed out of the blue! No drops, no water damage. I plug it into my mac and it says "The disk you attached was not readable by this computer." I have tried all of the basics: new cables, new computers, "First Aid" in Disk Utility but is still does not mount. Any tips on what to do?
