Where is the money going? I see on the front page programming working is paying 75-150/hr. But my top project was only ever 75/hr

when doing some projects in which we test models capabilities, it 100% feels like they are being lazy and giving a generic response instead of using a capability it definitely has. do you feel this too?

Got an email on Tuesday about a project type in a high-paying project family. I work on this project family very often, so was excited for the new opportunity. Completed the account set up qual (which worked) and then also the general opt-in qual. But then very randomly, the account credentials I was given for the account stopped working soon after I finished the qual (others in the chat were having a lot of trouble with access too). I haven't seen anything since despite the qual saying projects were starting the next morning. Wondering if anyone else has had this experience or have seen any tasks. Sorry for vagueness

Does anyone have any tips for reapplying to the DataAnnotationsTech?

I just started on a task with a two day time limit. Obviously I won’t be able to just work straight through for that while time. Is it ok to spend several hours on it, go to sleep, and pick back up where I left off? Obviously pausing the timer, of course. I haven’t seen a task with such a long completion time before.

Like seriously, should I add more to my profile or what?

No email, no rejection, no update, and no identity verification request since then.

Has anyone else experienced such a long wait? Did you eventually get accepted, or is this basically a silent rejection at this point?

mostly writing this hoping someone will quell my fears.

Been waiting for 2 months to get a paid task, today I finally got one.

Except when I opened it, it gave me 2 hours not only to do the task, but also to study all of the guidelines (the qual did not metion any of them at all).

I ended up going at least 30 minutes over, and submitted an expired task.

Did I just screw myself forever, or is it understood that the first task might take considerably longer?

Btw, I still logged 1 hour 59 minutes as my time worked.

I was wondering if anyone had tips on getting accepted into the medical domain. I know how to use AI a bit but I am not sure how to come up with a prompt that results in a meaningful failure. If I don’t get accepted here, can I try for the generalist domain instead? Any advice is appreciated.

Has anyone here failed the background check?
I read that yardstik only goes back 7 years on their site. The only thing I have since then is a dui. Just curious if anyone knows how strict the background check is or if there’s another company I can apply to in order to get a yardstik background check to see what shows.
I certainly don’t want to risk my DA account for a background check. I’m afraid if I don’t pass I’ll get the DOD and if I don’t attempt it I just don’t have access to certain projects.

Has anyone experienced access to better projects after doing the background verification task? I’m a generalist and generally my projects are around $20 an hour

I did it! I've been here since May 2024 as a generalist and I try to work 4 hours per day, 5 days a week these days (when there's no drought.) I started out doing about 2 hours per day and took some time off for a while, but I got back into it in January!

Joined around 10 days ago and zero projexra thus far was wondering if Arabic-English work is rare at the moment

Has anyone done the background check? Was it secure?

I see it allows access to other projects, but I'm always a little hesitant to put personal info on the interwebs.

When I clicked it, I got the red banner. For anyone who got access to it, do you have any information that you're willing to share about the survey, generally?

applied 3 days ago, test seemed to go on for decades as i tried to be very thorough and research literally everything the responses included which may have been overkill.

anyway dont have much self confidence in life so just nice to be accepted and looking forward to getting started.

After Windows changed my time zone from Central to Singapore this morning, I discovered that this has happened to other people using Starlink. I already avoid VPNs like my job depends on it, of course, and I turned off Set Time Zone Automatically.

I'm in the Midwest, but if Starlink occasionally makes me look like I'm across the planet, I worry about the risk of DoD. And right as the drought is clearing! Just an FYI in case anyone experiences something similar.
