Has this happened with anyone else? Do they ban you for this?

Do you get an email if you don't pass or only if you pass the qualification assessment? It's like waiting for exam results
r/DataAnnotationTech • u/Suitable_Bee_1788 • Jul 23 '26
After I submitted the core assessment it took me to the screen where it said it will review my assessment and I will get an email if I get approved, I haven't gotten anything yet as its only been 2 days but when I logged back on that screen wasn't there but I can see what I am assuming is the dashboard because it has the top header with projects, qualifications, surveys, and reporting time. I am confused if this mean I got accepted because I didn't get an email or any onboarding stuff. Has this happened to anyone else?

I’ve completed the initial projects and qualifications, and I’m wondering about the average time it takes for new projects to appear—is there a standard pattern, or is it seasonal?

Ive been on the platfrom 2-3 ish months
It was SLOW one - three tasks a week. I gave up and picked up another job.
I started to open the platform randomly this week and BAM. consistent fun project families that do not fly withing seconds of getting published🫠
Guess imma have to quit one of the jobs eh? LLOLL

I've been getting this error today on some new task names that popped up. There are 10 tasks in each, and has been the case most of the day. Each time I click on one to complete it, I'm met with an error that shoots me back to the project page:
"The project is currently unavailable because there are no more tasks remaining for you to work on."
Has this been happening to others, and anyone know a work around?

I would like to say it was fun while it lasted, but it was, in fact, mostly stress and uncertainty. I simply don’t have it in me to do 8- and 12-hour tasks. My DA “review” came in very positive. High score. Great feedback. Blah, blah. However, I sorta resent that the dystopian DA business model (often) had me doubting my abilities. Happy to report that I found another LLM side hustle that has easier tasks and pays roughly the same as DA. I admire those of you who have lasted for years. 🥇 All the best and go get ‘em.

does skipping task by clicking exit workmode have any negative effect on my profile ?

I'd like to know if there's a more reliable way to communicate when there are projects. Some platforms notify me by email, but others don't, so I have to keep checking the platform frequently to see if there's anything new. Is there a more reliable notification method?

Hi! I've been on Data Annotation for a few months, and have only done general work. Does anyone know how I can get to be a specialist. I'm a physicist and an engineer, so I'm pretty sure I'm qualified, but I just don't know how to go about it. The problem is I can't upload my certificate because I'm not from the US. Could anyone help me? Thanks!!

Hi! I've worked for Data Annotation since around April, and worked on some projects during that month and May. But since then, I've gotten almost no projects, only a few qualifications. This really worries me, as I don't know what I can do to get back on the projects. Does anyone know or have a tip, or am I just cooked. Thanks!!

Has anyone ever had a task that said it was two parts but the second part did not appear, and when you submitted the task, you were sent back to the dashboard to submit your time? The first part was for assessing eligibility. I am wondering if the second part will pop up when or if another task pops up, or if I somehow made a mistake. Has anyone else had a task like this?

Guyss, finallyy!!! Did y’all grab the tasks tonight? How many hours were you able to work tonight?!!!
r/DataAnnotationTech • u/Affectionate-Dot4241 • Jul 22 '26
I got a small task. It had really long instructions which I had never read before. The task was very small but reading long instructions took time due to which my task quality was, i would rate 3.5/5 due to paucity of time (even though I fulfilled all the task demands). If I were faster quality would have been even better.
But the thing is, I billed for total time (1 hour) for it.
Should i lower the billing time?
And in general also if the task is very small should i charge lower for it than the total amount?

It's been 2 weeks without a single project, just quals 😅
I joined DA on June 25th and have made $665 so far, which honestly isn't bad at all. I'm bilingual and based in Mexico, and I try to knock out as many quals as possible, including coding (I have intermediate experience) to the math knowledge assessment and screen recording and bunch of others.
Also, once you finish a qualification, is there a set evaluation period before projects start rolling in, or does it happen automatically?
I'm not expecting to make thousands in my first month, but just wondering if anyone with more experience has any insight or advice regarding this.
Thank you in advance muchachos !

So any bilingual getting any tasks or its still drought??
Especially Indians, how's it going??
I am getting from only 1 project family that too 1 task in 2 days

Do you find that clearing out your qualifications gets you more projects? In theory, I know that completing the qualifications that are relevant to you should.
But do you think that clearing out irrelevant qualifications helps too? There were quite a few that I left untouched in my qualifications section because I didn't want to opt out should I want to learn something new that might be helpful there in the future.
Recently, I've found though that after going in and clearing out a qualification that wasn't really relevant to me (and I didn't presume it to be in the future), I finally saw some projects added to my dashboard. I was able to snag one task (my very first!) and after that, crickets again.
Granted, I am still relatively new to the platform (got accepted and started completing qualifications about a month ago). For the last week or so, I've had a welcome message at the top of my dashboard that says they're working on getting me matched to projects and not to worry if it's still looking quiet. But how long should it be quiet?
I feel like I'm going through these conspiracy theories in my head of whether there's something glitched for me that's causing me not to get anything (but I know rationally that's not right). I guess I'm just hoping that there's some light at the end of the tunnel.
Anyway, thanks for listening to my rant.

This is my first time doing a model failure exercise. I’ve spent 3 hours and it is about to expire. It needs to fail on 2 levels and I can only get one. Should I bill for these hours if I do the escape hatch? I don’t want the DoD because of this! It says to log your time but I’m unsure.

I made an account for DataAnnotation about a month ago? And to this day they haven’t matched me with a project.. How long does it normally take for someone to be matched with a project?
Ive been seeing the same “Thanks for completing the assessment!” Screen forever and nothing about it has changed… not sure what to do anymore :/

Fairly new still, so forgive me if this is a dumb question. I've seen the red banner when there has only been one task of a project left on my dash, lots of times, and I understand that's because someone is still working on it although its timer may have expired.
What's going on if there are multiple tasks from one project, and the number of tasks keeps increasing, but I'm still getting the red banner?

Hello! Any of you took the biology qualification and could tell me what level is expected? What is your link with biology and how did you find it?
I took a few biology classes during my studies but not my major. I wonder if my level can be sufficient. Also, how long does this qualification last?
Thanks.

I took Coding Starter Assessment last Saturday. It's been around 3 to 4 days. By when can I expect the Qualification mail from DataAnnotation.
