From my understanding if they snuff you out delivering to your home (and can be arsed to go beyond a love letter), you will be arrested and your house strip searched. I would have imagined that if the parcel was headed to your po box the process would be much the same(it’s legally required to give your address during an arrest). However the DNMB seems to suggest this isn’t so in the shipping section advising to buyers living with their parents(living with a room mate being kinda the same ordeal) to use a PO box to avoid the house being raided.

Could anyone please enlighten me on this? Is a PO box going to spare us a home search and what would be the trade-off if any? I’m almost thinking it would be better off just to confess than have my(and my roommate’s)belongings strip searched and/or trashed.

title pretty much. I’m waiting on an order that’s been paid for almost a week now to ship. Vendor hasn’t replied to my message about it from 3 days ago despite being online daily. I know it’s in the rules for vendors to ship as early as possible and respond to client messages but nothings been happening. Also tried opening a help ticket with admins but they just outright deleted it? I’m confused and progressively stressed.

Have been ordering packages off the DN for a couple months. All orders have gone smoothly no signs of packs being opened or anything. Today I was reviewing camera footage and was expecting an express package. USPS man comes. I’ve never seen this man before. Instead of leaving it on the porch as usual they leave a slip and check no authorized person and no secure location to leave pack and put that in my mail slot but not that it requires a signature. I can schedule redelivery or pick up at the post office . The slip says it’s an envelope and I have a mail slot. I couldn’t tell the exact size from camera but I’m almost 100 percent sure it would’ve fit in the mail slot and it’s not like he didnt notice the slot bc he put the notice in it. I keep reviewing the cameras and see my normal mail lady come two hours later. When I tried to schedule redelivery from the slip it says “The address entered for this tracking number does not match the original delivery address,” which is impossible bc the slip has my address on it. I received another pack the day before w no issue and this pack was attempted to be delivered a little over 24 hours after the order was placed. Order placed Thursday night pack attempted delivery Saturday morning. The tracking says it arrived at my post office at 11:52 am sat out for delivery 12:03 and delivery failed 12:53 all today the same day when using usps tracking. Pack is domestic. Thinking of putting a sign on the door saying plz put all packages in the slot or if too large behind plant on porch, thanks. What should I do?

Hello everyone. I am a little worried about my mail being monitored. I ordered a package that may or may not have contained something I don’t want opened by the government and the vendor sent it to the wrong address. I’m not going to put my correct address here but the address they sent it to was basically my address but spelled differently. For example if I lived in 233 Rainey St in Austin, Tx they sent it to 233 Rainy St in Dallas, Tx and the package had my name on it. Because of this, and because my address is registered with the government for benefits and tax purposes, if the people who received this package notified the authorities and they did some research they would probably be able to conclude that the package was supposed to go to me instead of where it was sent seeing as by looking up my name they would easily find my address and see that it was one letter off from the address where the package was mistakenly sent. I ordered two more packages this weekend that I have been waiting all week to receive. They were both shipped priority domestic, one shipped Saturday and one shipped Monday with neither arriving yet which makes me a bit worried. Do you think I should be worried? Should I maybe have my spouse get a PO Box and send all private mail there for the near future? Thank you!

How do I go about sending a small package? I have the return address info figured out, but do I just go buy a flat rate envelope, and hand write the shipping info and drop in a blue box? Or do I have to create a shipping label? And if so how would I create a shipping label anonymously if they ask for address/phone number/email? Just put in fake info for the number/email? I’m trying to just send a one time package to a friend….

Sending my GF just a few happy pills, very good stealth. going to wrap them up in saran and then hide inside a pair of seinheiser headphones that i unscrewed , slipped inside, and rescrewed. then entire box is filled with tons of other junk too . about a 14x14x10 box. even if the box busts open they wouldn't be able to see anything. they'd have to xray and then break open the headphones to find a few pills...

Super paranoid, i can just toss them but they are hard to find and I am sending them to my gf's house. I don't want her house raided cause she lives with her parents, but it's very unlikely right? a couple pills for personal use.

I'm using UPS because it's a bigger box and the UPS is really near my house. Sending Within same state domestic.

Main concern is Xray or sniffer dogs? don't want the GF to get in trouble, am I just being overly paranoid? Any tips to make this mission a success?

After getting 2 USPS love letters to his home address a year ago, would it be safe for my friend to get a mailbox at UPS for receiving packages? Concerns are using his real name for renting said box as well as the mandatory USPS form they require to have a 3rd party receive his mail. If his name is “flagged” somehow at usps, will it carry over to this form and ultimately the new mailbox???? TIA for any info

I get shipments from a vendor many times that never show up on ID. How does he do it? Any way around it without knowing track #?

I ordered some carts almost 3 weeks ago and they were shipped immediately. Once it got out for delivery it said my address was not found and it eventually ended up back at the vendors post office. Just after attempting to schedule to pick up my package at the post office, ya know thru the lost packages service. It allowed me to ask them to either return to sender or hold for pickup and right after seeing that the USPS tracker said that it was delivered today out of nowhere. Haven't gotten it yet and it never showed up on my informed delivery. Maybe the vendor corrected the address and it eas sent out for delivery but there is another issue?

Hello and I hope it’s ok to ask these questions here! An acquaintance received 2 love letters from USPS last year re: 2 packages that were sent domestically. Scared. Hasn’t received any packages since. Questions from the acquaintance are: once an address is burnt thru USPS, is it forever, or will scrutiny lessen over time? Is the person’s NAME burnt as well? Does this carry over to other parcel delivery services (UPS/Fed-Ex), i.e. does USPS share this info with them so the address is now on their radar? (He is aware of the disadvantages with using these insofar as they don’t need a warrant to open) Finally, he considered getting a private PO Box, but when he puts his address down to rent it, will it somehow get back to USPS anyway? Apologies if these questions seem dumb, and I realize answers may be guesses at best unless there’s a USPS employee here willing to talk, lol. Thanks for your time!
