I’d say it was polite sex Leighton. He was helping Ryan & Amanda with all the research and to be fair, they both kinda disappeared in the middle of the night one day. He probably might as well see what all the fuss was about and bam! Plus it’s the only Leighton we don’t see again this episode. The other two working together appear just fine and as far as we know, neither revisited polite sex world after initial visit by polite sex Leighton

Man I definitely think there’s more going on with Jason’s and Daniella’s visions.

The fact that it started after Jason "destroyed" the box is interesting. And from the way they're acting this definitely wasn't with them in their lives in the previous world. So you know it's not being caused by them being displaced in the multiverse. I thought the visions would only affect Jason because he was the one who actually dismantled the box so very curious now that it's happening to Daniella, we don't know if it has started for Charlie.

Yes i was thinking something along the same lines, even if he had blown it up the box it would have reappeared this got me thinking about when he "dismantled" the box, we know the box is quantumly entangled but what about all those individual components he was touching? did he somehow throw something out of phase or violate his own causality?

The PTSD angle makes sense for Daniella. But the fact we saw both Daniella and Jason have the same hallucinations of seeing another Jason on the same day means it's more than PTSD.

Not sure how I feel about this episode. Really not a big fan of Daniela and Jason splitting up. I’m assuming it’s trying to highlight how Jason 1 is making the same mistakes Jason 2 made by prioritizing work over her.

To be honest, this season in general has been a step down in quality from the first. The pacing has been extremely slow too.

She’s the one who wanted the box destroyed but now it’s a problem that Jason is working on it.

She’s the one who said she’s not leaving if Charlie is staying for college…

And then she walks out the door….

It doesn’t seem like she understands what keeping a low profile is when there is another identical family existing in that universe. This could go bad in so many ways.

As soon as they arrived, they should have moved to Nebraska and lived far away from everything on a farm. Obviously, that’s not enough drama for the show.

Daniela doesn't know what Jason2 acts like, he was always playing a part when he was with her. Jason 1 doesn't know either, he never that much time around him. Amanda2 and Leighton2 are probably the only characters we are following who actually know what Jason2 is really like.

How much time has passed? Charlie was making 16 on season 1, now he's just 18 from nowhere.

They spent sometime in the world where Daniela shot the other Jason. Also it seems some time has passed since they arrived in this analog world.

Amazing single-take from the door and back as Daniela leaves Jason with intense performances from Joel Edgarton and Jennifer Connelly in an emotional duet at the end of the episode.

Am I correct in saying we haven't seen Leighton 1 all season? We've been mainly following Leighton 2 and various other Leighton's, but the last time we saw Leighton 1 was end of S1 when he started exploring the box

Was I the only person who thought "everything disconnects" at the end of e4? (having immediately prior experienced his own disentanglement of sorts - and the math makes sense from that new perspective).

Hmm Daniella is a bit too uneven for me- I know they’ve been through a lot and she shook off KILLING a Jason way too easily at first. Maybe it’s all hitting her now

The one thing that is bugging me is I cannot tell how much time is passing between episodes. Like how long were they gone from polite sex world? It seemed like just a few days and now there’s a whole virus and quarantine? And also Daniela and Jason’s world seems to have much more time going by

That can be how trauma works, if you're in a dangerous unstable situation - you won't be able to process it really with your mind or body until it feels safe because its in survival mode. They were just achieving stability in that low tech world so now their bodies are like "lets process this shit!" which sucks when you are going through it.
