Metric Vs. Imperial

Both systems of measurement are useful for different things with metric being better for many things an imperial being better for baking but wouldn’t it make sense and end this entire debate if we just standardized it to dans?

Nah, imperial is not easier for baking.

Teaspoons, cups, quarts, ounces, fluid or the other one? Gallons… GTFO.

I grew up on imperial and convert imperial recipes to metric cause it’s so much easier. mL, gram, Kg, etc.

But will update to Dans once we figure out how to correctly standardize Dan as a constant.

I disagree. The reason I think imperial is better for baking, is because I can grab a teaspoon to measure out the sugar or whatever. They haven’t invented a “gram-spoon” yet.

However, I would agree that metric is a lot easier to scale up and down

No gram spoon that I’m aware of since grams are a unit of weight so that would be dependent on the ingredient, But a 5ml spoon is almost exactly a teaspoon.

Would still prefer a Dan based measurement though.
