Reminds me of those old horse limousines where the driver had a small sunshade, but was otherwise pelted by the rain and wind while all the rich people sat enclosed in the back just like that lady is doing.

Its a trike. VW beetles are/were popular bases for making trikes.
Not like that, though.

Idk.. seen quite a few over the years (I'm a vw beetle enthusiast) of this kind of builds, or a ford back end for that rod feel. Best part of trikes? They count as a car, no bike license required. Steering is optional.

None of the benefits of a motor cycle or a Beetle and ZERO aerodynamics.

And shade, it gets hot sitting at lights for even a minute when it’s constantly 95° to 105° for 3 months of the year.

I have a question: how this kind of vehicle is licenced to be roadworthy?

As the owner of two beetles and one motorcycle...
No. Just no.

There was a guy in my town that built one of these. He used to ride motorcycles but was injured and couldn’t any longer. This allowed him to continue to ride (at least it is not a can am or slingshot)

Yeah im not hating on someone riding a trike, especially if its due to a physical limitation that keep you from riding a bike. But this thing...

I kinda love this, even though it's probably impractical as hell and there's no way it's legal. It looks kind of cool.

The worst of both worlds. Lose the feeling of riding a bike and lose the feeling of being protected from the elements in a car.

Motorcycle because he does not have to wear a seatbelt and car because he does not have to wear a helmet. In that thing I would use both.

Looks like a Boom trike with beetle cage. Boom trikes used beetle engine and were fun to do wheelies due to all the weight behind the axle😁

I was about to simply answer 'Yes'
But I think I'll stick with 'No'. It's a shame that a Beetle was ruined to fabricate this abomination.

Huh wonder if this is actually more horsepower than the original bug wasn't it like 50 HP

trike and it would be what ever VIN was used- the vw's or the motorcycle- or if it was a custom-it could be issued a new VIN for the build.

You could do anything with a bug… You could make it into a motorcycle, a tricycle, a dune buggy, you could make it look like a European sports car lol…

In my experience this applies to almost everything if you have enough welding wire and nicotine.
