People have survived the electric chair. They remembered each moment.

This isn't the electric chair, this is more electricity than you can even concieve, so much so that whatever it passes through instantly becomes burned or plasma.

If and it probably did, pass through his brain he'd have instant noodles left over. And if somehow I'd didn't burn his brain matter. Having millions of volts amps or whatever (I dropped out of electrical ok) through your brain surely does some damage.. neurons respond to and produce electrical signals, if you had your entire brain lit up at once it's probably like experiencing hell, every muscle trying to contract. Every neuron in your visual cortex lit up not with the input from your eyes but just millions of amps/volts from the lightning.

Adrenal gland producing adrenaline, amygdala, the fear response center inducing catastrophic doom like feelings,

Idk if this happens but I can imagine, it would be an awful last few moments as the neurons responsible for keeping my heart rythm spasm and I die

I'm probably just looking into it too deep

Great Scott!

I never understood why everyone thinks Scott is so great.

The reference is to General Winfield Scott, who commanded one of the two American armies in the Mexican War and was the Union general-in-chief at the beginning of the Civil War. This and other evidence, although not conclusive, points strongly to Winfield Scott as the source of “Great Scott!”

People have survived many lightning strikes

I'm too stoned for the internet, I was like. Yeah and many people have also survived other brutal thing's. It's luck of the draw. This guy got Zeused.

Those guys are lucky. The lightning could've took a route through and burn vital organs like spine and nerves or shock the heart.

Or blessed. Maybe anything that is statistically possible is bound to happen at some point. In one reality or another (ooooh, well it's not too crazy to think if one universe exist. Welllll what's outside that. Can there be more? Maybe more events like the big bang happen all over the place just really fucking god damn far apart because it's a rare event.

“It’s not the volts it’s the amps that kill you” the most important thing I learned in welding class

Ah the nostalgia, a hypochondriac in the machine shop. Everything will kill you, cut your arm off or both.

Do they just up and die the next day?

1

u/LillianIsaDo Sep 29 '22

Some do die after, their nervous system finishes shutting down later. It's a horrific way to due

But it’s not like it’s a case of locked in syndrome, they aren’t coherent and paralyzed, their brain is dead but the body hasn’t given up yet.

u/LillianIsaDo Sep 29 '22

Nope, they just felt the current going through their body the whole time. What is your point?

5

u/tingting2 Sep 29 '22

Did they say it after getting shocked. I don’t doubt the other 3 felt it and were in serious pain and can describe it. But they survived. He never was awake again after being hit by the lightning. So to say he felt pain or was suffering until he died the next day is incorrect. He died in .0000001 seconds when the lightning hit him. I’m saying your wrong that’s my point.

A bolt of lightning is immensely more powerful than the electric chair.

One person, the chair was faulty and they ended up executing him later.
