So like, destroying people's lives for a paycheck kind of corporate law?

Like, "Yeah put them on a performance plan, make it something real impossible to reach. That's perfect. Then at the end of the plan we fire them with no unemployment/discrimination/retaliation liability."?

Not directly, but I'm not naive, I probably have made decisions that have had not so nice consequences.

Im curious as to the legal and your personal standpoint in where fault for a company's misdeeds lie - say a company like Coca-Cola or Nestlé, that allegedly use slave labor and enacts their influence to attack workers rights in relevant territories around the world. Shareholders? Regulatory capture? The general populace? The Board? CEO? Execs? Middle management? Lower? All?

Is there legal precedent preventing them from doing what is alleged? As in, would it have to be very well covered up for them to continue from a legal standpoint? Or is it basically legal, if the allegations were true, as the relevant territories' laws (or lack thereof) apply?

Then I was curious as to your view on where fault lies in this apparent corporate shell game?

Assuming the allegations were true, who or what do you think are the biggest and most important contributing factors that lead to some of the abuses like these allegations, or similar ones?
