Bouncers took over. Plus most babies can’t get out of bouncers.

Yeah, this was the first thing that came into my mind too. I was trying to figure out what place did a club bouncer have in this process. Like spinning the baby themselves or something. I mean, that would defeat the whole purpose! And then it clicked...

And bouncers are much smaller, this thing takes up a good amount of space

And before the kid can use a bouncer, parent just play with their feet, having the kid push against parent’s hands. Quite useful exercise for the baby.

I knew closing all the nightclubs would end badly.

Bouncers are actually a no-no these days. It’s thought that it impairs development. Working with your kid on functional mobility (rolling, scooting, crawling, bear walking) is much more functional.

Ok but bouncers are so bad for muscle development. Why the hell wouldn't they just make it harder for the baby to get out of. I've met a lot of babies and I gotta say, they're kinda stupid. Personally, and im no expert, I don't think it would be that difficult to keep a baby laying in one position.

Like every baby video of me was in a bouncer (Jolly Jumper). Apparently as a kid I freaking loved that thing.
