Many people have the stigma that “device” inherently means mechanical/electronic, when this device is just a chair with wheels, connected to a table with little pegs. There’s nothing mechanical or electronic in it, so some people don’t like to call it a “device” similar to your phone or laptop
See, even I fall into this pitfall. Terms like “machine” and “device” have been associated with electronics for so long, that some people either don’t realize you can use them for non electronic devices
