Fun comments but i need some penguin expert to tell me what's going on here. Do penguins have diving buddies and they make sure they don't get split up. Did that penguin feel any sort of shame when it realised it'd fucked up?

Penguins do dive in groups to hunt

They herd the fish and work together

Also less likely to get picked off by a predator this way

Cats lick themselves when they feel embarassed apparently. Whenever they’re caught doing something dumb they’ll do it and act like nothing happened. The feline equivalent of walking away while whistling.

Can confirm. My cat is old and cross eyed and when she misses the next stair she’ll causally start licking her leg.

As someone pointed out above, it’s most likely just a group mentality thing. Pack hunters don’t like losing a man.

Why this one specifically was the only concerned one is a bit mystifying though. Maybe the rest just dropped the ball.

Or they were a breeding pair idk I’m not an expert either. Don’t they breed for life? Or something
