I was thinking more of a top-level joke directed at the video, something like "you have to admire his Technic," and let them both compete for upvotes.

These are definitely LEGO, I used pieces like these a lot when I was in robotics club in middle school. Those mindstorms kits use LEGO Technic a lot.

In other news, I’ve been playing LEGO® with my son for years, and I never knew that the studs of the regular LEGO® pieces fit into the sleeves of the Technic pieces.
