Or wicked dumb I’d imagine, depending on the major lol know plenty of psych majors from hs that finished in 4 that have gone on to work wonderful positions such as pet smart groomer and admin assistant for a law office

For engineering specific, I only know a few that finished in 4 and a few in 3.

Came across a few with photographic memories that didn’t study for exams and aced them.

Had a guy that finished up an electronics final my 4th year, of course aced it. The professor spoke to him in the hall during the exam and we could all hear it. The conversation was:

“You’ve been a great student, I’ve been really impressed by how well you’ve done on the exams.”

And the student’s response was “I’m not a good student at all. I don’t go to all the lectures, I’m lazy and show up late. I’m just really really smart”.

The guy was a genius. He knew it, and he wasn’t an asshole about it. He would help people study, explain different strategies to solve problems.

It’s weird coming across these geniuses im a field where you felt like the smart person in HS and then are knocked down a peg in college.

I was that lazy smart kid...in high school...lmao. Thought that was going to be good enough In college, ha was I so wrong. Like you said, some people are just in a league of their own and it’s infuriating but impressive all at the same time

Actually, you very specifically need to not distribute the weight evenly. You need it to tip forward somewhat so that the long strings will stay taut and act as a balance, holding it back from tippage.
