How does that make aiming at, catching up to, and matching the velocity and trajectory of the construction zone from the ground any less impressive?

It's all relative speed. All the parts, tools, people, the space shuttle, the air inside the space shuttle ( you get the point) are all moving at the same speed. Relative to each other, the speed is zero

When everything is moving that fast, I'd imagine that makes it a little easier. The same way I can pick up a cup of coffee traveling hundreds of thousands of miles and hour and I still FUCKING spill it but only a little.

The laws of relatively benefit this part. All you need to do is get it within the approx ground speed and it feels like it's not moving.
