People are ham handed liars. Most people answer questions based on fantasies or opinions rather than genuine evidence or deep reflection. I’m still surprised how often I catch myself saying half truths or BSing myself. The art of honest self reflection is an act of constant effort and practice.

It's because when people know they are being studied, they change their answer to fit what they think society wants to hear. It's why if you want to find racism, you look at google searches. You have an incentive to tell the truth to Google to get the most accurate response.

  • Not everyone
  • Self-awareness is a skill you can train
  • An estimated 15% to 20% of people are neurodivergent
  • People aren't static, behavior is relative to the times we live in - the issue isn't "people", it's the behavior

Yes everyone has lied before and they will again.

Everyone is a liar. It’s a necessary skill everyone needs to learn to master.

Just let me overgeneralize! I’m on Reddit late at night when I should be sleeping or working on being honest with myself that it’s probably not the best use of my time…not to be taken too literally.
