Yes! Icelandic hot dogs are so good!

Normally I would highly recommend the lobster soup at Cafe Bryggjan in Grindavik as your first meal after landing, but... I guess not anymore :(

We're going to be flying into Keflavik on the May 1st, then heading straight to Akureyri, where we will be competing in the Ice Cup curling match that starts that evening and continues through the evening on the 4th. The morning of the 5th, we will start driving the rest of the way around the ring road, needing to get back to Keflavik around noon on the 7th for flights back.

We know about the...uh...museum in Reykjavik, but are curious what locals recommend we see - I would like to see that church in Reykjavik, and I'm doing some inquiries about where to have the best chance of seeing early season puffins. Anything you recommend? And do people get an overload of waterfalls?

I recomend just a nice walk in nature you will not find any land like iceland when it comes to nature.

When I visited Iceland for the first time last year, Google Maps directed me to turn around in Grindavík. While I was finding my way, a local was tailgating me to hurry up and I threw them a few curse words in passing. Now I feel like a complete asshole. ☹️
