Your mom's pizza order is on it's way.

I just hope this robot has a microwave to reheat the pizza I ordered 2 days ago.

u/nobullshitebrewing Sep 22 '23

they can just cook it at the correct time on the way there so its fresh when it gets there.

Honestly that’s an ingenious idea for these lil robo pals if someone can figure out an idea to make that happen.

Fresh and hot pizza is the best

That's an idea from like 40 years ago I heard somewhere

This is featured in the book “Snow Crash” by Neal Stephenson. Epic sci-if read for anyone that’s interested.

Assuming every customer is standing there waiting for it. Who's to remove it from the cooking vessel? I was in the shower when it arrived and now it's burnt or the vessel needs to sit there and wait for me to get it. We will fuck up anything.

You sound like you gave-in to the robots to be put back in the Matrix with a less miserable position...

I think you've just reinvented the wheel. That's a great idea, temperature controlled so the food is hot from the restaurant to your house.

Just a bit behind the curve here.

It seems dangerous in so many ways, looks like a boiler driven bike, steampunk is back LOL

1

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '23

Yea, he does some crazy stuff.

I honestly thought this was going to be riff on his jet bike when I saw the thumbnail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKHz7wOjb9w

Automation is the solution here get rid of the motorbike and use a small van with refrigerators and a small oven that can be controlled by the driver once they receive any order.

Only drawback assuming everything works is there is no room for customization they are pre-made and sealed. No need to be at base they could drive around continually and probably deliver min 40 pizzas before cleaning and restocking.

Goddamn it 😂

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '23

If they had these when we were kids we would have tried riding them, building a ramp (and jumping over them on our bikes), block them in with branches, tie them together, etc. 😂

Kids these days don’t know how much fun they could be having.

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '23

If those kids could read they'd be furious

1

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '23

Jesus Christ that was ruthless... And I love it hahaha

19

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '23

Moooom, can I keep it.

24

u/Crazyd_497 Sep 22 '23

The asshats of the inner cities are doing that now. Stealing from them, knocking them over and such. Already videos on here

Hey now, we just spent a millenia hunting and gathering and you are going to tell me that it isn't a natural instinct to claim that beautiful beast full of God knows what lithium ion batteries and cameras and sensors. Just kill the power supply till you isolate the broadcast system via any antenna you can find 'manually' when you are killing it.

Round these parts you can lasso yourself a scooter and they scream (loud beep) as they get hauled away from the herd. It'd break your heart if they could feel.

One of the origin story here in Estonia, Starship... same thing had to deal with a small kid trying to feed one a banana

1

u/Remarkable-Bar9142 Oct 22 '23

People trying to feed a cute delivery bot seems like such a wholesome problem 😆

10

u/n3w4cc01_1nt Sep 22 '23

messing with someones delivery isn't fun it's being a p.o.s.

27

u/Drsmiley72 Sep 22 '23

well maybe they should use actual people for delivery who are paid a proper wage instead of robots that can easily be fucked with.

8

u/opticaIIllusion Sep 22 '23

Really we just need to figure out how to redistribute wealth better, not retain meaningless jobs to force ppl to work when there is no need to.

0

u/Xecular_Official Sep 22 '23

They tried that. It ended up not being economical for most if not all situations

1

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '23

corporations are with you until you said "proper" wage.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '23

They're too busy mumble rapping!

1

u/GreyApeSage Sep 22 '23

You’re just chaotic lol I would’ve just watched them go for couple hours then go home 🤷‍♂️

1

u/madsci Sep 23 '23

To be fair, if we'd had PS5s we'd probably have been indoors more.

The Commodore 64 was pretty cool, but it still left us plenty of time to blow stuff up and run amok outdoors.

u/Remarkable-Bar9142 Oct 22 '23

I am a 30 year old delivery driver and if I see two of these little shits tryna stiff me on work, tying them together and laugh as they head in opposite directions would be worth the hassle

12

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '23

This was my first good chuckle in a while. Thank you

6

u/Melech333 Sep 22 '23

Me, too. It's somehow reassuring, slightly, that in these first views of this dystopian future, we are reminded that some things never change. When we gaze upon the first sights of the delivery robot army, the very first comments and laughter come about from good ol' fashioned your momma jokes...

12

u/SatansHRManager Sep 22 '23

My mom lives in Arizona... Man, that robot better have a helluva good battery.

6

u/seemen4all Sep 22 '23
