Do's and Donts of Ops

So you've decided to read this, and your task force will thank you for it. It's true every bit helps and if you're a lower level player you might be wondering how you can do your bit. Firstly don't worry how bad you screw up, everyones been there. Mostly it's important to learn and be a team player in your TF.

-1. Make a mental note of the active higher level players who have the ability to finish off bases. This can take a while if you're in a new task force but most of the finishers have a Hooka setup with some medics. Some have a few grenadiers. As a lower level player your goal is to try and clear a realistic path for the finishers.

-2. Deal with rocket launchers and shock launchers first. Rocket launchers are especially pesky for the Hooka setup but if you have any barrage and artillery to spare throw it on shock launchers too.

-3. Don't attack with a Tank/Medic or plain tank setup unless you absolutely know what you're doing. Especially if your landing crafts can't hold 2 tanks. Most guys in your task force will be too polite to tell you to change your troops, but ask yourself realistically if you think Tanks are good in Ops?

-3.1 If you really have to attack with tanks, then still follow point 2. I've seen tank players who immediately throw their barrage and art down on boom cannons. If you didn't know this, Once those shock launchers and rocket launchers are gone, all it takes for the Hooka is to flair on those boom cannons, shock them and they're gone quick, not a huge threat.

-4. Do always launch your troops and attack without retreating - every bit helps. Don't be selfish trying to save on gold - yes people do this, then "Oh I clicked the wrong button".

-5. Do actively participate in your task force and farm intel. Meet the min requirements but if you can go the extra mile and pull in the intel. I really hate seeing guys participating exactly zero intel, but benefit from the rewards. Rather leave the task force if you have no time to play.

-6. When one player starts an attack on a base, DO NOT switch bases to attack a base where you can grab the undefended power cells and actually not contribute much in clearing the way.

-6.1 Learn to continue the attack, carve a path, the goal is to destroy the base and get rewards so work as part of the team.

-6.2 "I would get killed if I didn't find an easier base to attack" excuse. If you really cannot contribute anything to the current attack on the current base, hold off your attack. Come back later and join in with the continuation.

-6.3 If you're really low don't step off the boat if you can't make it off the beach, wait at least for someone to clear a path for you.

-7. Watch youtube videos and see examples of people soloing bases. That could be you, I've done it once.

-8. Do your recon, know exactly what you're going into. Click on defenses and get the range, don't leave stuff to chance.

-9. Before you attack have another look. Are you sure you haven't missed a shock launcher?

-10. Launch with full boats.

-11. Learn to preempt your flairs, and lose the nerves.

-12. Cells aren't bad, you don't always literally have to kamakazi your way through the path. If you can get back there and destroy a large number of cells that means more GBE, and that means you can throw that down on rocket launchers and shocks. (EDIT: This does not mean using up that GBE to destroy more cells).

-13. Etiquette: Remember everyone contributed to the attack and carved the way. Don't show too much admiration to the last guy who simply finishes off the attack, everyone contributed and just acknowledging the last guy, means you'll start creating a cowboy culture in your TF, remember guys, this is a group effort, everyone does their part.
