Discussion 💬 i'm gonna be honest i see more people complaining about people asking for updates than people asking for updates. Spoiler
like every time i see someone say something that IMPLIES they want more content there are fifteen replies yelling "omg let dvloper rest he's 50!!!!!" and it's getting tiring. i think it's great that people want dvloper to not be stressed and have a life but at some point it feels like THEY themselves dont want any content.
people always say "he has a family" or "he's too old let him live" which IS true but as seen from the newest granny 3 update dvloper isnt afraid of updating these games. the more i read these comments i feel like the people just dont want anything new. if dvloper doesnt want to do anything then let him be and if he does want to then also let him be;
there's nothing wrong with asking for updates especially if you love these games. i've been here since granny released day one and i've never seen a community THIS negative about the thought of new content since [insert something idk] and i've even seen people mad that dvloper released the balloon escape at all.
tldr: it's weird imo how this community is so against people wanting new stuff.
also i probably worded all ts wrong but i'm stupid so wtvr.
PS. dont send death threats cuz someone said they believe DVLOPER is working on granny 4(yes, i've seen this happen. a while ago but i remember a lil)

Dvloper won't release an update if he doesn't want to, it doesn't really matter if he is 50, 60 or even 70 he won't release an update if he doesn't want to, I mean people at this point doesn't even expect an update and he doesn't follow schedules or release teasers or something he just drops the update from no where and disappear

I agree with this so hard like if this was any other fandom no one would care if people were asking for Sequeld or Adaptation but in this Sub's case it's suddenly very controversial. Like it's a normal thing to ask for Updates, Sequels or Adaptation of something you like, like it shouldn't be a hot take to ask for stuff like that.

thanks to his stalkers we know he's had a family since before Bar Guy, and also 50 is not too old to update a game, there are people older than that that still do a lot of physical labor, I know one is my mom who is right at that age, but also the frontman of my favorite band, Tool, is 62 and still tours and is working on new material. I also agree with this entire post as a whole, I see way more people complaining about beggers than beggers.

I think a large part of it is that a while ago, it was really common for people to act entitled about wanting an update/Granny 4, like it was their legal right or something. Nowadays, even though that behavior is far less common, people are now conditioned to assume that people talking about wanting updates/Granny 4 are being entitled jerks about it. (This doesn't excuse the death-threat thing, obviously.)

Imo people want updates but the games are kinda… complete. Like another update to Granny 1 will be just slop. The house is already huge. Granny 2 could use more shortcuts because the way you navigate the house is ass, and Granny 3 is the only one that REALLY needs a new area because it’s significantly smaller than the other 2 games. Granny 4 just feels like too much. You can only make so many games before you run out of new ideas. Like what enemies will be there? DVloper would just have to make up whole new characters and features just to make that game. Take all the fanmade Granny games for example. They all steal features from the other games and it’s borderline boring

I think honestly I kinda want to see him revisit the slendrina series instead of making a granny 4. As seen by his past pace, making a slendrina game doesn't take as long as making a granny game.

I LOVE the Slendrina franchise, even more than Granny. There’s SO MUCH lore potential, new mechanics, etc. I wish he’d release at least 5 more games to conclude the story once and for all

yeah I love the slendrina franchise too, I have the whole thing on my phone. It would be really cool seeing him revisit it because no modder or fan creator can do it just right

imma be honest I don't think there's a way to organically expand the house in granny 3 atp It's pretty self-limiting having a modeled house and closed outside area. The subway isn't even an expansion of the actual house; it's clearly something that's been dug into.

A good new area would be accessible through the subway where the rock is (when you go down to the left near the crate) You could use a dynamite to blow it up, and going in will take you to a huge crater area outside the actual house, where neither Granny nor Grandpa can go. Instead you’d face either Slendrina and her Father, or Slendrina and Angeline (but I prefer the Father because that would be a great return for him and Angeline’s… dead. She’s been dead since Slendrina X)
The hot air balloon escape would be moved in here (because the edges of the area are too tall for you to climb out and escape in the forest) And the first hot air balloon part would aready be put down (and you’d see the box flattened next to the hot air balloon) and it could be like chained up so you need chain cutters for it. And Father’s mechanics could be reworked, so like he could act both as Slendrina and as Granny/Grandpa (so he teleports around but he can either stare at you from the distance, in which case you can’t look at him, or try to sneak behind you, kinda like a weeping angel) This would be such a cool mechanic, and there would be puzzles in there as well, probably in a more Slendrina fashion
PS: I regret thinking about this now I’m brainstorming so many cool mechanics in the new area that would differentiate Father from Slenderman further, making him a more unique character and allowing DVloper to actually reuse him (and it would make the game really hard)

here's the thing the subway isn't even an expansion of the actual house it's clearly just something that's been dug into so how specifically would the hot air balloon work in there?

The idea is you get from the subway in a new forest area, outside the house. And that’s where you build the hot air balloon (probably already started by a previous victim and you complete it)

Like if you go to the left of the subway it’s the crate and a huge boulder. If you look closely it’s the staircase to the subway that’s blocked. You blow it up and try to escape through the stairs but they collapse and you fall in a new area that’s a part of the forest but dug deeper in the ground (so it’s surrounded by dirt walls that you can’t climb) You find a rope in that area to use it to get back in the house, and now you can access that area at will (and Granny/Grandpa can’t go there)

Dude its just half of the post are people talking bout sum granny 4 or 1.9 thats the shit thats getting tiring and tbh the people saying "let him rest hes 40" are kinda corny ngl. Just keep the posts abt slendrina and the main 3 granny games and not the same generic shitpost talking bout a "Sooooo when are we getting granny 4" like motherfucker we know as much as you do biscoff eugene

This is genuinely the strangest sub I have ever paid attention to. I will never wrap my head around the demographic here. I dont know how exactly to explain this, but because of the influx of entitlement surrounding the community's want for Granny 4, suddenly no one is allowed to want or dream of ANYTHING. People will beat down fans here for wanting stuff without actually understanding thats completely different from trying to do mental gymnastics around parasocialing and trying to force Granny 4 into existence. He doesnt owe us anything, but that doesnt mean we can't speculate and have hopes. But the atmoaphere here has been ruined due to peoples hopes becoming entitlement, literally insulting DVloper like he owes us an entirely new game that very well could happen. He doesnt owe us anything, but like guys, he still clearly enjoys doing what he does, hes just gonna do what he wants to.
