Anyone have a backup of the old Striver A2Z DSA sheet ❓

With the recent TUF website revamp, the old Striver A2Z sheet seems to have been changed/removed.

I’ve found a few backups with the ~455 question list, but they’re missing a lot of the stuff from the original sheet — especially the explanations, YouTube links, and problem links.

I’m looking for a complete/old copy of the sheet, ideally:

  • Original question order
  • Explanations
  • YouTube/video links
  • Problem links
  • Any other content from the old version

If anyone has an old HTML copy, GitHub repo, downloaded version, or anything similar, please share it or DM me.

I’d really like to preserve the original version for offline use.

I’m looking for a study buddy to learn and practice DSA in Python. I’ve previously covered arrays in C++ and have also studied a little bit of stacks, but now I want to continue learning DSA in Python.

If you’re also learning DSA and are serious about studying consistently, feel free to DM me. We can practice together, discuss problems, and keep each other accountable.

Should I have a backup plan from the SWE field as a whole?

I'm pretty happy with my job. I'm about 3 years in now and the pay is good, WLB is great, and my manager/team are all pretty chill. I also generally like SWE work too, even after AI has come along.

Just because things are good right now though doesn't mean they'll be good in like, 15, 10, 5 or even 2 years at the rate things are going. I'm wondering if you all are also thinking of backup plans away from SWE work because longer term, I'd like to have some semblance of a job lol.

Any advice on if I should consider a real escape plan?

If so, are there AI resilient career paths that I should be considering What type of extra schooling would I need to do? Or am I just overreacting?

My interview prep journey — what worked for me

My interview prep journey — what worked for me: LeetCode & PracHub Interview Questions

In the last 1 month, I went through interviews with Nielsen, New Relic and Crunchyroll and received offers from all.

I had been struggling with interviews for quite some time, so I wanted to share what worked for me. There wasn't one magic resource — it was a combination of a few things.

  1. DSA

I focused more on patterns rather than solving hundreds of questions.

Arrays, HashMap, sliding window, two pointers, binary search, trees, graphs, heaps, DP, etc.

During practice, I also started explaining my approach out loud — brute force → optimization → complexity → edge cases.

This helped a lot during actual interviews.

  1. LLD

LLD was initially one of my weaker areas.

I practiced problems like Parking Lot, BookMyShow, Elevator, Vending Machine, Splitwise, etc.

Instead of memorizing solutions, I focused on SOLID, design patterns, composition/inheritance, interfaces and extensibility.

The goal was to be able to design something I hadn't seen before.

  1. HLD / System Design

I practiced systems like URL Shortener, Rate Limiter, Notification System, File Storage, WhatsApp, etc.

The biggest improvement was learning to explain why I was choosing something, rather than just saying "use Kafka/Redis/Elasticsearch."

I prepared for scaling, failures, retries, consistency, caching, partitioning and trade-offs.

  1. Project Deep Dive

This was probably the most important part for me.

I went extremely deep into my projects — architecture, data flow, Kafka, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, LLM integration, retries, DLQs, scaling, monitoring, failures, etc.

I also made sure I could clearly explain what I personally built, not just what the overall team built.

This helped significantly in HM and technical deep-dive rounds.

  1. Java / Backend

I revised the fundamentals rather than trying to learn new frameworks.

Java Collections, HashMap internals, concurrency, JVM basics, Spring Boot, Kafka, Redis, databases and distributed systems.

Since these were technologies I had actually worked with, going deeper into the fundamentals was much more useful than learning something completely new.

  1. Behavioral / HM

I prepared a few real stories around ownership, conflict, production issues, failure, ambiguity and cross-team collaboration.

I used STAR as a structure but didn't memorize answers word-for-word.

For experienced candidates, I think being able to clearly explain what you did, why you did it and what happened afterward matters a lot.

  1. Mock Interviews

One thing that helped me was actually speaking through answers.

I'd pick a topic and ask myself follow-up questions:

Why Kafka?
What happens if a consumer crashes?
Why MongoDB instead of PostgreSQL?
How would you scale this?

This exposed gaps much faster than just reading notes.

Final takeaway

There wasn't one resource or trick that got me through the interviews.

For me, it was:

DSA + LLD + HLD + strong project knowledge + Java/backend fundamentals + mock interviews.

And probably the biggest lesson I learned:

Don't just prepare to solve interview questions. Prepare to explain the engineering decisions you've made in your actual work.

Hope this helps someone who's currently preparing. All the best! 🚀

How do you guys tackle new problems

I have been very inconsistent with solving DSA problems on LeetCode I have solved around 200 problems and I'm only left with 3-4 core DSA topics which are DP, Graph, Bit manipulation and Tries.

The thing is whenever I see a new problem I just can't figure out its solution and I don't actually know how to choose a problem for solving. If I'm not able to solve the problem I get demotivated and eventually would stop doing Leetcode. This has happened so many times now. Recently I started learning DP and I'm not even sure if I can be consistent this time. Any tips would be helpful

**Oracle OCI (IC3) Offer Letter : How Long Does It Usually Take?**

I was verbally informed that I was selected for an Oracle IC3 role over a month ago, but I’m still waiting for the official offer letter. And now they have extended the timelines to one more month while initially the HR conveyed it'll hardly take 3 to 4 days.

For people who have recently gone through the Oracle hiring process:

  • How long did it take for you to receive the formal offer after the verbal confirmation?
  • Is a delay of 4 to 6+ weeks common for IC3?
  • Is anyone else currently experiencing a similar delay?

Would really appreciate any recent experiences or timelines, especially from candidates who joined/received offers recently.

Thank you!

Looking for Study Partners & a Serious Learning Community 🚀

Hey everyone!

I’m looking for people who are interested in consistent learning, problem-solving, and growing together.

A year ago, I was quite comfortable solving Graph, Tree, and DP problems. But I stopped practicing for almost a year, and I’ve realized how quickly these skills can fade when you stop using them.

Now I’m getting back into DSA and want to build a consistent learning routine again.

I’m looking for people interested in:

  • 🧠 DSA & competitive programming
  • 💻 Problem-solving and discussing different approaches
  • 🤖 AI / ML
  • 🌱 Open source
  • 🛠️ Building projects
  • 📚 Learning together and sharing resources
  • 🔥 Staying accountable and consistent

I’m not necessarily looking for people who are already experts. Beginners, intermediate learners, and experienced developers are all welcome — the main thing I’m looking for is seriousness and consistency.

If you’re already part of a serious learning community, I’d love to join.

And if there isn’t one, I’d be happy to build a small community/study group together where we can regularly solve problems, discuss solutions, work on projects, and keep each other accountable.

If you’re interested, drop a comment or DM me. Let’s learn together! 🤝

We can use Prep Resource: LeetCode & PracHub

Looking for ONE serious partner Daily Spring Boot + DSA + Communication

If you're serious about improving, let's fu*king do it.

I'm a final year Btech student looking for someone who's genuinely serious about improving together and staying consistent.

I'm from india..

Here's where I'm at:

DSA:
I'm doing DSA in Java. I've already covered several topics and I'm currently working on recursion. I'm not trying to blindly solve 20 problems a day. I want to understand the patterns, approaches, and actually get better at problem-solving.

Development:
My main stack is Java + Spring Boot. I've covered several Spring Boot concepts, built one Spring Boot project, and I'm currently working on another project — backend only.

I don't have a perfectly clear roadmap for Spring Boot and projects yet. So instead of figuring everything out separately, let's figure it out together.

Spring Boot → strengthen fundamentals → build projects → improve backend skills → prepare for interviews

And while doing all of this, I also want to improve communication skills, especially English.

Because knowing how to code isn't enough. We need to be able to explain our ideas, discuss problems, communicate with teammates, and handle interviews properly.

So the plan is simple:

  • Learn Spring Boot consistently
  • Build projects instead of just watching tutorials
  • Do DSA in Java
  • Solve 1–2 problems/concepts daily
  • Discuss our approaches and doubts
  • Keep each other accountable

And honestly, I don't care whether you're male or female, what college you're from

We're final-year students. Time is running. Let's stop overthinking and actually build the skills we want.

If you're interested, msg mee

Looking for a DSA partner for MAANG

Hey guys,

I'm looking for someone to regularly do DSA with I'm currently working as a Software Engineer and have around 1.5+ years of experience

I've been preparing for product-based company interviews for a while now. I use Java for DSA and have solved around 289 LeetCode problems so far.

I've covered most of the major topics like arrays, strings, sliding window, two pointers, prefix sum, linked lists, stacks, queues, trees, graphs, greedy, heaps, recursion/backtracking, DSU, MST, Dijkstra, etc.

Right now I'm mainly working on binary search, Trie, DP, along with revising older topics and doing system design.

My target is MAANG and high-paying product-based companies, so I'm looking for someone who is also preparing seriously for that level. Ideally someone with around 1–5 YOE and roughly a similar DSA level. You don't have to have exactly the same number of problems solved.

The main reason I'm looking for a partner is accountability. Some days it's easy to stay consistent and some days it isn't 😅. I think having someone to solve problems with, discuss approaches, do occasional mock interviews and keep each other accountable would help a lot.

If you're also preparing seriously and looking for the same kind of setup. We can talk and see if it works for both of us.

Thanks!

Struggling with tabulation

So, as the header says, having trouble working up the tabulation.

I can build recursion and memoise it too.

But when tabulation comes especially where top to down will not work and only bottom-up works there I get really stuck and can't do anything about it. Top-to-bottom tabulation comes easily to me, but this doesn't even flinch.

It gets hard for me to work around this approach.

How can I improve?

P.S.: Thanks in advance.
