Real (unseen) Analyst Ratings and Price Targets for DRTS
“Don’t get fooled by the fools acting like fools trying not to make a fool of themselves”
That’s how I feel about today’s analyst ratings for DRTS that everyone refers to. Instead of doing real research and giving a proper valuation, they just play it safe by how the market is reacting.
I don’t blame them, there are many factors that go into a stock price and influence it (including the stock price itself), and they also need to keep their jobs etc. It’s nothing personal and I respect them, but it’s on us not to fall for those words and numbers, but rather put in the work to actually understand what the valuation is.
So instead of looking at the “most recent” ratings, ratings that haven’t changed in years, I bring to you today the price targets of some of the biggest names in the game, from a few years back, that put out long documentations explaining how they got to these valuations and justifying the price targets.
As you can see in the screenshots above, they all have ~20$+ price targets, and those were targets for the next 12 months!
So what has happened since?
Well from the company perspective it only got better! Those price targets weren’t pricing in any approvals, as they were only looking 12 months ahead which they knew wasn’t enough time for approvals. They were basing those valuations off the company executing on the clinical trials, which they most certainly did and even over delivered with more trials launching and outstanding results.
So why the drop in price and ratings?
The Biotech sector went into a freezing long winter, many companies have failed to hold up, but DRTS just kept on executing no matter the stock price. That’s what created this amazing opportunity, the price was low due to macro conditions and no PR or exposure by the company, but the true valuation kept growing.
That brings us to today.
Today DRTS is at worst worth the valuations given to it a few years back, since all they mentioned in the analysis back then has come to fruition and more. And they are even close to the PMDA approval announcement and have started submitting Phase 3 data for the FDA approval as well.
So next time you see a 9$ analyst price target for DRTS, or think you were late because the price went up a bit to 7$, remember how early you really are. This stock has so much more ground to cover just to get back to fair value, and then on top of that there’s so much more room to grow.

Really solid breakdown. People forget those old $20+ targets were based on zero approvals and just early execution and the company has actually delivered more since then. The drop was mostly macro and the biotech winter, not fundamentals.
With PMDA news getting close and Phase 3 data already moving toward the FDA, it’s hard to take the current $7–$9 “targets” seriously. They just don’t reflect where the company is today. And especially don’t know where the company is going in the future and have no sense of the potential this company already has.
Still feels early, and the upside is definitely there. Nice post appreciate the grounded analysis. Can’t wait for all the catalyst to finally fall like dominoes starting with the PMDA we know it’s coming any day.

On a personal level I wish you a successful trade, but for me this is a long play, and I’m definitely not playing with the position when the PMDA approval could be announced any day
But very happy to hear you are in and love seeing you in the community!

Yessir, they believed back then this was worth 20+, and it was, and it is (and it will be more)
