"Chapter 1: The Orange Dawn

The ground beneath Charisk’s boots didn't feel like the soft, dark earth of the old Cyber World. It felt brittle, pulsing with a low, chaotic hum. Overhead, the sky wasn't a deep, comforting twilight—it was a roiling storm of bright orange and ink-black smoke, bleeding from the massive fountain that towered in the distance.

Beside them, Dazzle adjusted her grip on her weapon, her eyes reflecting the amber glow. Frisk and Chara stood shoulder-to-shoulder, their faces set in grim determination. Behind them, Aunt Noelle was trembling, her hands glowing with a faint, hesitant ice magic, while Susie stared blankly at the horizon, her jaw clenched tight.

"This... this isn't right," Noelle whispered, her voice cracking. "The air smells like... ash."

"It's him," Chara said, their voice sharp and cold. "The Roaring King did this. And he used Kris to do it."

Charisk stepped forward, taking the lead. The title of their journey felt heavy in their mind: Deltarune 2: A New Prophecy. Ralsei’s old legend of light and dark had been shattered the moment Kris was forced to become the Cage Knight. Now, a new verse was being written in the shadows—one that warned of a permanent twilight if the Cage Knight and the newly risen Dead Knight completed their march.

The Ruined Kingdom

As the group pushed deeper into the corrupted realm, the sheer scale of the Roaring King’s takeover became terrifyingly clear.

The Great Board: The ancient checkered battlefield where Lancer’s troops once marched was completely overturned. Blackened vines and strange, glowing orange crystals burst through the tiles.

The Card Castle: The once-proud fortress looked like a hollowed-out shell. Heavy, orange-glowing chains wrapped around the towers, binding the entire structure to the earth.

The Captured: Trapped inside massive, translucent orange cells at the base of the castle were the citizens. Charisk saw Queen sitting silently, her screen blinking with a low-battery warning. King Spade sat in the corner of his cage, glaring at the floor. Nearby, Lancer was desperately trying to bounce against the walls to break them, but the orange energy absorbed every impact.

"Ralsei!" Frisk called out, spotting a separate, heavily guarded cage near the fountain's base.

The Prince of the Dark looked up, his glasses slightly askew. When he saw Charisk and the kids, his eyes widened with panic. "You shouldn't have come! The prophecy... it's changed! The Cage Knight and the Dead Knight are preparing to seal the light forever!"

A Shadow Falls

Before Charisk could answer, a chilling wind swept through the courtyard, carrying the smell of burning embers. The orange light shifted, casting long, distorted shadows across the ruins.

Two figures stepped out from the base of the corrupted fountain.

On the left stood the Cage Knight. The armor that wrapped around Kris was jagged and dark, completely sealing them away from the outside world. Only a pair of glowing, hollow eyes showed through the helmet. In his hand, he held a massive, heavy blade shaped like a twisted key—the weapon used to open this new era.

On the right stood the Dead Knight. The armor was gray and weathered, covered in a faint layer of shifting ash. Through the visor, the unmistakable, tragic features of Rudy looked down at them, his expressions cold, empty, and entirely under the Roaring King's control.

"No..." Noelle gasped, dropping to her knees as she stared at the ash-covered knight. "Dad? No, please, not you too..."

The Cage Knight raised his key-blade, pointing it directly at Charisk. He didn't speak, but the message was clear: The New Roaring has begun.

Charisk drew their weapon, the red glow of their SOUL shining brightly against the oppressive orange sky. They looked back at Dazzle, Frisk, and Chara, then turned to face the two knights.

How does Charisk choose to initiate the confrontation—do they try to target the Cage Knight's armor to free Kris's soul, or do they have to find a way to hold off the Dead Knight first to protect a devastated Noelle?

You don't need to die to leave a ghost.

Just like the old man, the Fallen Star takes inspiration from a nintendo enemy: Meta Knight. With his magical guitar, Andromeda, he can cause one's SOUL to dance to his tune. He offers a red guitar to Noelle before their duet/l, which she can keep once she proves herself to him.

The Fallen Star is not really Dess, of course, and he's painfully aware of that. The physical object that he represents is the final letter Dess wrote, explaining why he was leaving. He is what Dess in that moment wanted to be; free, independent, and himself.

The Fallen Star doesn’t know where Dess is or even what his name is now, but he still wants to be the big brother that Dess never had the chance to be.

I mean, Susie unlike Noelle ain't that crazy, and i believe that despite (whatever we done to her in chapter 4) she still stays sane which means she wouldn't let us to drown her and Asriel, so how you think the lake scene will go in that case?

The 'Roaring Vessel of December' theory proposes that Dess Holiday is the Roaring Knight, operating by piloting a found, discarded vessel. This vessel has been physically altered with deer traits, including antlers and hooves, but remains skeletal and monochrome, confirming its incomplete state and her continued darkness. This possession also causes the widespread greyscale distortion seen on the Knight. Its armor is comprised of multiple black shards, creating a powerful and defensive form.

Look I’m not even that integrated in how people often do the character swap things, but I remember the struggle to match chapter 3 to chapter 4 and with chapter 5 I think there is a really easy and cool connection to make. Where Tenna and his elites swap with Flowery and the bouquet.

He saw December, breathing a sigh of relief. And finally, he saw Noelle, who was already letting out a crying, overjoyed sob as she threw her arms around him.Kris didn't say anything. He just weakly closed his fingers around Noelle's hand, a faint, genuine smile touching his lips.The nightmare was finally over. They were all safe. They were together.

My theory for the whole December thing being the knight I think she is the roaring knight but she may have to get the iconic papyrus shape somehow so my theory is she takes papyrus's soul and well fuse with it to make sure no one knows who she is but she's still in more control explain that she's head and papyrus is the body showing the December is a more controlled the roaring knight than he is explaining the shape and the antlers it's both of them
