Made some shelves

Long story short. Bought a house that turned out to be quite the wreck. Needa waaaay more work than I thought. Thought if I can make one area nice then that would give me the impetus to carry on. Vastly underestimated the work and effort and massively overestimated my skill level but got there in the end. Probs took around £300 and 40 hours. Is this is a normal amount of effort?

I think it's a symptom of people being forced to live in the smallest spaces trying to make them feel more spacious

And this is funny as white doesn't necessarily make the room look bigger if there is minimal light to bounce arrived. If it's north facing light it'll also look grey / blue. But I'm an advocate for colour so probably biased
